Just how stoned is Churchill The Dog RIGHT NOW???

It's that sage nodding that does it, I think.

I would have liked to have seen a mob of twenty Cybermen tearing a Dalek apart like crazed metal zombies. One Dalek death isn't too much to ask now is it?

I'm learning to ride a bicycle again. No, it's NOT just like riding a bicycle. I'm sure there is a logical contradiction in there somewhere.

Regardless, the sight must be terribly amusing. Visualize me not being creamed by a car, please.

In a hive mind situation (Daleks, Borg, what have you) where all experiences are shared, does killing one bear the same moral weight as killing 'em all, since the anguish is experienced by all beings in the collective?

I'm thinking no.

Daleks feel no remorse whatsoever. Or at least that's what the one in my basement keeps telling me.

Angels of rain and lightning; there are spread
On the blue surface of their airy surge,
Like the bright hair uplifted from the head
Of some fierce Maenad, ev'n from the dim verge
Of the horizon to the zenith's height—

These woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep.

I'm worried that I take comfort in Stopping by woods on a snowy evening more than I probably should. But...

Shelley argued thus: "Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world."

when one considers how much bad high school poetry is written this goes a long way to explaining the state of the world.

today's bad poetry:

there was rain
and bright leaves
grey concrete
and inexplicable stains

If I held your head between my hands
and prayed
would the lies run out
while you foamed at the mouth?

If I held your heart between my teeth
and sang
would the fear blow away
while you thrashed about?

there was rain
and brittle hope
great shame
and inexplicable stains

It's very sunny out there today, but very cold. I hope the hall is heated tomorrow night, as my Halloween costume is kind of flimsy.

i always thought

'touché, motherfucker'

was the coolest english phrase i'd ever heard.

Now i'm not so sure.

Well... It's still the coolest, but by a bit less of a lead.

i feel i should add:

I'm not a big Samuel Jackson fan, or a Tarantino fan.

It's hard to explain, but i don't think the phrase is cool because it sounds like a man with a gun might say it...

hmm... i need to think about this

The Popples always creeped me out. I mean, merry little fuzzy friendly things that literally climb INTO THEIR OWN STOMACHS so they can roll around. And their slogan was "Popples Love to Party!" So now all I can think about is this big party full of people who get tanked up on dry martinis and then they climb into their own stomachs and roll home, but they're drunk so they really shouldn't be rolling, but how the fuck do you take somebody's keys away when their conveyance is their own goddamn stomach?
