So, they turned the gas off in my house, which really sucks cuz it's been cold in Chicago lately, but not only that, there's no hot water for which I can bathe in. This means I've been showering at friends' houses, and if I can't do that I heat up water in the coffee maker and microwave and take a sponge bath type thing. This doesn't seem right, not in a "whoa am I" type thing, but because it's the 21st century and I should be living on some distant planet and never having to worry about bathing.

Has anyone noticed the atrocious lyrical writing of most political punk bands? Who the hell is "they"? The punk bands won't tell us, they just throw in "they" anywhere if they're (the punk bands) are speaking of any sort of authority figure without ever explaining what authority figure they (the punk bands) are talking about. The only punk song I've ever heard in which a "they" or "them" was addressed before the "they" or "them" was "Shower Days" by NOFX...putting two and two together, apparently shower days owe us a living.
