interesting comment on the 'sloppiness' of the recording... tms is a pretty imprecise instrument in the wrong hands - the sulci make the incidence of the magnetic current at the neurons a bit of a nefariously hit and miss affair, but it depends on how 'fine grained' they were experimenting.
our labs try to switch off the fronto temporal lobes, so is not so targeting little areas - this is a new science and it is still being developed as a technique. but it is improving fast... thanks for the feedback on the guinea pig-ness! did you feel anything like a buzz or a high? did the effect last a while - did they do [some time, mebbe 20 min, up to an hour] post-tms tests??
any luck with the s.a. mind yet, grant? |
