I'm up for that. Kinda on-off line a little right now, as I have a proposal to finnish. But still up for it.

i'm going to seriously lower the tone now and say that i'm halwfway through 'fast food nation' and am wondering if anyone is at around the same point and would like to finish the book together as i'd like to finish this one before signing up for one of the other interesting titles already mentioned here...

Yes, if you're keen - sorry to be so tardy in replying.

Lilith and Persephone -

Sorry this reply is so late - I stumbled over a major attack of mundane necessities and just hadn't been paying attention. I've skimmed The Tipping Point while taking the bus to work, but want to go through it again in a little more depth. Discussion can start any time (and I will pay more attention!).

On M - I am likely to be at home at some point in early July, so could pick my copy up then if we are still up for it. I was going to read Cellini's autobiog in tandem with it, but unfortuantely that's one of the books I sold so that's a non-starter, dammit.

Cakemix - I have just read Fast Food Nation, unfortunately, but by all means start a thread if you want to talk about it (might play better in Switchboard though).

Okey-doke, we have been invited to run amuck in the Tipping Point thread in the Head Shop...

Cav & Kit-Cat (& also Rothkoid?)... I still need to a) buy M and b) read it. I will try mightily to be ready for a discussion to start after the 4th of July?

The Return Of Rothkoid
10:46 / 20.06.02
Assuming I can post my copy to myself, I'd be up for discussion - but I won't be able to contribute until the 11th...

And I won't be able to get hold of my copy till the weekend after the 9th when I'm going home for a wedding. Foo.

We should wait for you, I think.

Er, both of you.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had read, or was interested in reading Critical Terms for Religious Studies edited by Mark C. Taylor (I’m not yet sure how to create italics). It’s a collection of 22 essays based on topics such as Gender, Experience, Rationality, Time, Transformation, etc.. I’m currently working through it and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a discussion.

I think, to be honest, that you're more likely to find someone in the Head Shop for that one, Melissa...
