Tsk, don't pass me off as some new arrival to the magical world at the end of the dream branch of the Barbelith tree. I've already had one and posted about it. Jesus*, Stoatie, I can't believe you don't remember it. You were the star.

*no offence meant to anyone

Ooh, I do remember that now. Better than being Barbequoted, that was.

Interestingly (for me, anyway) in conjunction with other sources, Barbelith's magic tree has helped me realise I may be something more than a crap writer with some kind of Soul and a few bits and bobs of kit.

I really appreciate that, Barbelith. Sincerely.

Oh ... And of course, nobody should forget what supposedly "happened" to the late, great, Philip K. Dick. Sometimes when you go for the light chord, you hope it's actually there this time. Although it might be less fun that way...

Thinking about it now, I can't remember my dreams from last night. But I realise that I haven't had a proper nightmare for a few weeks now (as far as I remember); which is odd and slightly alarming (in a weird way), but nice, nonetheless.

I really should keep a proper dream diary. Makes one remember more, eh?

I had a Ganesh & Xoc dream a few weeks ago, but can remember nearly none of it -- except that I sort of knew the "real" Ganesh didn't look like he did in my dream. The dream one looked something like the creepy dude the writer in Sandman gets the bezoar for or from, and something like the military intelligence dude who gets GOTTEN by Swamp Thing in the first Alan Moore story. Skinny, with bushy eyebrows and a bald head.

Plants were also important.

I think it was brought on by all my orchids simultaneously deciding to bloom, but I dunno.

Xoc was in it too! there was a video of him singing of his love for Ganesh at their civil ceremony. He was a little old man (sorry...). It was extremely touching.

I haven't had a Barbelth dream, yet... I think... I dunno... Where was I... am I, again? I mean, right now?... Erm... I'm not qualified to handle this symbolism...

Where is Ganesh and Xoc. I REALLY miss 'em. In fact you might call this a summoning... or a love letter... or not... of course...

Oh, I dunno... I'm off to watch the "end" of 'Lost' for clues...

does it have to be a barbelith dream?

because i just need to get it off my chest that i have been having weird sex/lovey-dovey dreams about Bobby from Australian Idol. I know, weird. But he does have a lovely voice...

It's always great when you can taste stuff in your dreams. Good-tasting stuff, anyway. I'd hate to have a dream about eating green peppers.

On that note, last (and only) time I tasted something in-dream was formaldehyde fumes (which burned my nostrils and eyeballs very much)

You do NOT want to hear the rest of that particular dream.

Last night I dreamt I killed two guys who had killed a puppy dog por pure spite. Actually, to be more precise, I tortured then, then I used my kung fu long sword to cut one guy's hand and to kil the other with a stroke to the heart. My family saw everything, and although not actually aproving my attitude, they could not be bothered to stop or condemn me for it.

The sight of my sword covered in human blood made me feel strangely proud

I have no idea what exactly this means, but, to be honest, I thought it was kinda fun. What the fuck does it say about me? Wait, don't answer that...

Okay, so I was leading three other people (soldiers of some kind I think, one female, two male, decked out in fancy sci-fi fatigues with equally fancy sci-fi guns) and, rather than take the route through a radioactive valley I decided to go through a cave system. We had gone a little way when the floor in front of us caved in and what I had previously assumed to be a stalagmite turned out to be... a flesh-eating Pterodactyl! The perspective then switched to the combat mode in the Final Fantasy games (which I've never played, incidentally) and I selected my special move from the menu: the song 'You Spin me Right Round (Like a Record)' by Dead or Alive, which I then sung to the Pterodactyl. At this point the sheer awesomeness of my subconscious caused me to wake up.

Analysis: My subconscious mind likes sci-fi, dinosaurs and videogames, and is therefore probably me aged 12. The presence of eighties electro-pop remains unaccounted for.

Guys, last night I had the worst fucking nightmare EVER.

I dreamt I was the protagonist in "O Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad."

I keep having disturbing dreams about Jarvis Cocker. Yes, I’m a big Pulp fan and yes, I had a big crush on him when I was 17 - but that was a long time ago! In the last few months I’ve dreamt twice that we were having an affair and that he was madly in love with me and ready to leave his family. And when I woke up I felt horrible because I’m sure he’s happily married. And he’s got young boy!

Last week’s dream was harmless though. We bumped into each other in Islington and he just said “Isn’t it funny how we keep bumping into each other?”

Hm.

So this dream wasn´t a nightmare, but this seems to be the best thread for sharing dreams:

I was in a huge hall connected to other huge halls, all with really white walls, like some empty new art museum. I looked around and discovered this event (people kept coming) was about the recent death of the queen. Now happy to know what I was there for, I jumped instead of walking to the roped off area, where you had to walk past for the main happenings, and immediately saw Charles standing near the red rope moping at the wall, so I maybe stopped jumping. Then there were these typical dull university/office corridors, and I went into a room, where many serious men listend to a serious man standing at a white plastic board (I had these at school, instead of chalk you use a pen and can wipe it off). I left the room pretty much immediately.

Thinking about, where this unusual dream (my dreams are mostly about being outside and discovering things) came from, I remembered being on another forum yesterday evening, where I posted in a thread started by a fresh alias called Queen Elizabeth the Turd, and in another thread about 80ies bands, I mentioned The Smiths.
