Le Tigre, the band with the rollerskate jams, who ought not to need an introduction (but if you do need one we had a big argument about them here), are coming to London. Mean Fiddler (formerly the LA2), 31st May, a bargain at £9. Yay!

i am doing my dissertation on riot grrrl (it's for a 'women in modern american politics' course) and how the movement was ridiculed and perhaps even fucked over by the media, and i really wanted to interview kathleen hanna for it.

According to the Electrelane website, they're not supporting Le Tigre at the London date anymore because the date of Verity Susman's exams got changed and now clash... Anyway, the Le Tigre gig has now been moved to the Astoria as well (just next door, isn't it?) - is it just me and Riz from the board who'll be at that one? (Decided against trying to do the Brighton one as well...)

FYI Electrelane will be supporting Fugazi in Birmingham and Primal Scream in London (Shepherd's Bush Empire, June 20th), so they're obviously moving onwards and upwards...

I really hope they have the full video backdrop for the Brighton gig tonight, peeps. Their videos rock, especially the 'Well Well Well' one which is essentially a full music video, eroticising stationary and other tools...

And JD is clearly the star of the band.
