about around 1997-98 i was looking for a harsh,electronic, thrash metal sound and i found it in atari teenage riot. it had this fucked up punk rock energy and unconventional electronic noise. then i went looking for something heavier and more unconventional than that and a few years ago i found 2nd Gen. As an ad from Vice magazine once put it:
"imagine trent reznor, aphex twin and add n to x attacking each other with chainsaws at a power tool convention."
...that was enough to turn me on to 2nd Gen. i recommend anyone out there to find his albums.
for those who are musically inclined, i suggest just make your own music if you have the means to do it. from the suggestions on this thread it would be so FUCKING awesome to hear this type of stuff...
i would also like to agree with arcobi with the lesbian russian girls doing edgy pop with an extremely suspect video. i would sell my soul to satan for that! mmmmmmmmmm...lesbian russian girls. down boy down!
anyway... i wanted to hear music as if it were salvador dali trying to train a terminator android in midi and a drum machine by smacking him with a guitar, so i made a 10 track album. i'll upload three tracks on mp3.com later when the work load loosens up. |
