So, what should you really be doing right now instead of pissing about on Barbelith?

Me, I should be writing a 1.500 word feature on the effects of a Nagasaki-type atomic bomb exploding over Bradford in 1953. Arsed, cannot be, am I.

Anyone else?

I am ill today and forced to stay home. So I should be doing all the cool things that I would be doing if I didn't have to work.
Except I'm not. I am posting on Barbelith just like I do at work.

Damn.

Heaven forfend that I get them mixed up...

Well, I'm visiting my parents in Cardiff, so I've got time off from the day job, and all of my art stuff is back in the big smoke, so there really is nothing else I could be doing. Ahhh..... guilt - free posting!

Actually, I do need to get out and buy some limes. And I could be getting on the phone trying to get my exhibition next month into a few listings. oh pooh.

Sent my class of aspiring "Leaders" off to do experiential learning... i.e. I have time for a quick fag out the back, make a coffee, and surf the 'Lith for a tiny bit.

Going back now. There's a wee cutie in one of the groups and, you never know, he may need some one to one assistance...

Designing 'quark for dumbasses' exercises.

Not so bad, but the annoyance of knowing that what's taking you hours to design will take a normal human being five frigging minutes to complete.

Some people are procrastinating from more interesting things than other people...

How stupid of me, *this* is the job I should be applying for:

Medieval Times. Accept the challenge! Medieval Times, North American's #1 dinner attraction, is casting for the roles of Knight, King, Princess, Master of Ceremonies and Tournament Marshal. Select roles will be required to perform speaking roles, ride a horse and/or joust/fall from horseback.

No?

Fine.

Guess I'm going to Monster now...

[Edited to say, actually what *everybody* has to do seems more interesting than what I have. Sorry, right... Monster ho.]

I don't have the luxury of procrastination during work – while on Barbelith I simultameously pay bills, take phone calls, type up invoices, order computer software, research stock photos, occasionally look up and smile wanly in the direction of my boss when he makes a fart joke, prepare bank deposits...

I'm exhausted.

I should be figuring out a way for my store to have more visiblity.

I tell myself it's okay though, 'cause if any of you were ever in Oakville, I'd expect you to swing by the store, so by posting here, I really am increasing visibility.

I come up with excuses like no one's business.

Zoom.

Grant: Hunter Thompson realized early in his career as a sportswriter that he could, conceivably, recycle a previous year's Super Bowl story in perpetuum simply by changing the names and a few key numbers...

Me? I am working: Microsoft Word is running a long and complicated series of macros on a folder full of text, in another window...

Yeah, every news story that's not a "feature" is basically a Mad Lib.

MJ-12 - you want a quick freak out, look up Genesis 9:11 and Genesis 11:9, then Revelation 9 and Revelation 11.
