Okay, I've got some time on my hands, a cd burner, and a big stack of cd-rs.

Who wants a mix? If you want one, let me know what kind of mix you want. I can go off in a lot of different directions....

Also, who here is owed a mix by me whom I am forgetting about?

I think I've covered all of my debts here, save for Kooky,...am I wrong? Please remind me!

(note: cash isn't flowing as well as it could be, so I can only send so many off to the UK and other non-US places at once...they tend to run a couple dollars per parcel at least...)

Okey Dokey. I just recieved Grant's tape and it's very cool. My girlfriend has promptly stolen it, however, so I can't really comment too much yet. I do have a question, where's the Sunny Day Real Estate song from? It sounds very old school SDRE.

Anywho, I'm still way behind but should be sending out tapes to those I promised from last round because I finally have a little bit of money for postage. I'm sorry for the delays, I'm a big stupid jerk. Expect the unexpected.

Well, I only live in NYC part time at the moment, because my sublet ran out in the beginning of September, and I haven't found a new place since. On the days that I'm in the city, I stay in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. The other days I'm in Westchester.

I put something up over in Gathering about setting up a non-2600 Barbelith meet in NYC sometime soon...why not try to do it then?

mail would be quicker, no matter what.

what kind of disc do you want?

I've got a bit of flexability...I've recently put together a current indie rock/nyc underground mix, a mostly pre-90s mix of punkish and outsider music type songs, and a really sleazy dirty funk/DJ/hip hop mix...

Yeah, I kept meaning to say thanks but kept forgetting..

It arrived the day after 9/11 oddly enough, so my mind was on other things..

Great tape though. Bikini Kill = good. Free Kitten = also good. Exceedingly cool.

For no real reason, I've made half a dozen copies of a rocking new tape, bits of which actually come from other Barbelith mix tapes.. I'll bring a bunch of them to the London meet and hand them out to whoever wants one.

I would love to get some free discs! I don't have a computer so I can't burn anything for anyone but I'd be glad to make some tapes in return (or send you a couple of bucks for the postage). I've got 1000+ CDs but for the past year the only thing I've been able to buy is diapers. Ah, the endless joys of fatherhood.
Anyway, I have no idea whats going on in music land these days and I'd love to be turned on to some new shit (or some new old shit). If anyone would like to help me out please send my pathetic ass a P.M. and tell me what bands you were thinking about including so I can tell you if I've got it or not.
Thanks in advance.

yes. though i can't play tapes at the moment, i'll take 'em if you send 'em. those of you that still owe me stuff, please note that i have moved.

and i know i still owe people stuff, but it's all back at the old place at the moment. when i can get the help to moved stuff (which means relying on when van drivers can get off work at the weekend...), i'll get them and my stereo and my photos and the rest of my clothes and...all sorts of stuff....

Ah Jesus, I owe a zillion tapes. I was going to tailor each one to the person concerned, but I'm just going to do a tape and a CD (different crap on each) and everyone gets a copy of both. Except Rizla, he gets an hour and a half of shouting and animal noises.

Who *hasn't* got one of mine that should?

That Sunny Day Real Estate song is on what I think is their new album. I got it as a double LP set on green vinyl. Can't remember what it's called.... The Rising Tide, internet says. Came out in 2000.

I can't remember if I was sending one to Flux or not...

Oh, and thanks you, grant, for sending me a tape. Would you mind messaging me yr address, I used the envelope that very day and , well, for some reason, the word file I plugged yr info into got, er, erased, when I shut down my computer.

Anyone who sends me hip hop mixes earns eternal gratitude and a cd or tape.

I'd LOVE to get some mix tapes, though I don't think I could make one with any music you haven't heard yet. I'm kind of... young. But if anyone wants one from me, I'd be more than happy to make you one.

Rizla, where's mine? Heh. I actually got a new address, but this one is for keeps. Email me.

Flux: Me!
Grant: Me!

Everyone email me for my home address, and help me expand my musical horizens. I'm taking unlimited mixed tape donations.

No fair! Why does Rizla get preferential treatment!

I am finally in the clear and able to do tapes/mini-discs for anyone who wants them. I'm really sorry if I owe you one from way back (send me your address and I'll pop one in the post).

Kooky - I still owe you a tape, and am now in a position to make one as I've moved into my new apartment. I've misplaced your address though, can you email or PM it to me? Also, let me know whether you want CD, tape or minidisc (as I can now do all three).

Anyone else want one? I've a load of stuff at my disposal and way too much spare time on my hands...

Yeah, I owe a tape to Kooky and Rizla; Expressionless asked for a tape thus he will get one too. I don't have any of my records right now, will get them very shortly, though; lent them to a dj friend of mine, who wants to mix punk into her sets. Most of my rockabilly 'n metal are on my records, and most of my weird noisy shit is on vinyl as well, and none of my cd players can record anything without eating a tape. Anyone who wants a tape of mine can email me or private message me or whatever. Every tape will be different too.

Got 2 CDs today! Thank you! Listening right now as I work! Currently listening to the "It's Too Loud For My Ears" CD,liked everything so far, getting a kind of 60's hippyesque vibe - despite it being interspersed with Huggy Bear, Wire and the Slits.... let you know what I think once I've finished! Cheers!

That's great, I'm glad you two liked everything. I've got a few other things done and ready to send out when I get back home tomorrow.

If you or anyone else has questions about anything on anything I sent you, you can feel free to ask either here or via email, and I will give you any info I can. I know there's some things in there that may be very difficult to track down without assistance...

Kooky - I have a specially designed cd waiting for you...I have an address you've sent me...would you be able to give send me the address where you are *now* so that it doesn't need to be fowarded?

Well, I think next time I'm at the store I'll pick up the first Kinks Ep/Singles box. I'd forgoten how much I like that stuff. And I need the Huggy Bear albums. Now!

I've kind of been stuck on the first CD but I really liked the Mount Florida track from if it's so easy... I fell asleep to it. Twice.

I did a google search on Jendek... interesting. Blue Corpse may be my favorite album title ever. I'd like to hear more.
