Saveloy has told me to own up to having B.A. ROBERTSON's INITIAL SUCCESS album. Not that I feel like I should be that embarrased about having it. Not sure if anyone remembers B.A ROBERTSON actually let alone BANG BANG, KNOCKED IT OFF and KOOL IN THE KAFTAN. What I do know is that if BELLE AND SEBASTIAN or THE DIVINE COMEDY released it today it would be classed as a masterpiece. I kid you not!

I get the most grief for owning "Ladies & Gentleman: The Best of George Michael." But I still love it.

As far as Erasure goes, they were a perfect non-threating boy band to love when I was 14 or so, and I always have a nice time when I drag out "The Innocents" or the "The 3-Ring Circus." I have a soft spot for a catchy pop ballad.
And on that note:

Agree that Tubular Bells is overrated, yes,
(ten million hippies can be wrong!) but the next two, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn are also pretty damned good, as is Amarok.

I'm not even slightly worried about the fact that I think that "She's So Unusual" by Cyndi Lauper is one of the Greatest Albums of All Time, or the fact that I like Aqua in a non-ironic fashion and actually bought one of their t-shirts (it's quite a snappy number, but about 2 sizes too small), but...

I have, in the past, described bands as being "worryingly ELO-like" and have been pretty much horrified by ANY 70's rock that doesn't come from the punk/new-wave/power pop school of things.

and guess who I can not stop listening to at the moment?
