Yes, tongue was firmly in cheek on a few of those, including the Morrison acid and Ellis transhumanism. I tried to balance out the sheerly unlikely examples with some, 'well, yeah, they are/do/have... and?' type.
The point was just that, you cannot make the assumption of reality, simply based on fictional material. Otherwise, Harlan Ellison is an eighty-year old bus driver who never swears, loves children, and published his first book a few years ago. And that's from an actual dust-jacket bio. |
