I didn't know the song so I drew a majestic horse, one with a griffins mane, and a leopard with three human heads.

In the library? 'Cause I think that would be the perfect reason to dress up as one of the characters who were in the library scene in Ghostbusters!

You mean the Ghostbusters?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

Stop whining Kegs, I have bloody Mama Cass in my head right now...

I didn't know the song so I drew a majestic horse

Title of the best album not released? It's like a disillation of Elvis Costello aged ninety-seven years and four months.

I misread that as majestic herse.

majestic herse

Best unreleased glam deathmetal album.

They're talking about remaking Daredevil. WHY?? Sure the first one was a pile of crap but that's no reason to go back and revisit it!

This Sunday
01:30 / 04.10.08
I'd actually pay to see a film adaptation of the treatment Miller turned into a miniseries some years ago. The ninjas. The snow. The rooftops and handcuffs. Elektra playing piano.

I wouldn't mind a revision of Daredevil's cinema presence every few years, like they do with Batman. Except, y'know, this time it should be good.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:54 / 04.10.08
Does Daredevil really deserve it?

On that note, Kenneth Branagh is directing MIGHTY THOR.

Saint Keggers
02:01 / 04.10.08
Thor played by Shia Leboef?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:11 / 04.10.08
I'd probably go see it, actually. Mostly just to laugh.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

Mostly.

NOpe. The latest Indiana JOnes was reason enough for me to refuse to see anything else that has him in it.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:24 / 04.10.08
I'm finally getting around to watching The Fall, which is some beautiful European film that includes Charles Darwin as an adventure hero or something, this weekend.

Saint Keggers
02:26 / 04.10.08
I've been meaning to watch that for a while. If Im not istaken its by the same guy who did the Jennifer Lopez film The Cell.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:28 / 04.10.08
It looks absolutely amazing, and some friends saw it recently (after I'd been talking about it for about a year) and really loved it.

This Sunday
02:53 / 04.10.08
The wikipedia entry for The Fall is highly awkward. I am slightly more inclined to see the film, now, however.

I'm catching up on ten-year-old stuff I missed the first time 'round, through cheap DVDs. The Funeral. Man with a Gun.

There's reasons I missed some of these the first time.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
21:52 / 05.10.08
The Fall is quite gorgeous, and certainly interesting from an imperialist/cultural appropriation angle. Not perfect but lovely to look at.

This Sunday
22:20 / 05.10.08
I'll have to check it out.

I'm watching Lynch's More Things That Happened at the moment. Beautiful non-sequel companion to Inland Empire.

I had pumpkin pie.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

This Sunday
23:08 / 05.10.08
I want pumpkin pie! Keggers, it's just cruel that you won't share your pie over the internet.

I'm deep in a meal of mint Milano cookies and Guinness, myself. Full of vitamins, you understand.

On wednesday my friend is making me a pumpkin cheesecake. This pleases me. I will be giving her blueberry pommergranate(sp?) wine in return.

This Sunday
23:41 / 05.10.08
I'm very curious about blueberry pomegranate wine, now.

And google tells me it's been just over a year since I told my pomegranate horror story.

do (re)tell!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
23:48 / 05.10.08
I have no gin either. I might go to the store and pick up some groceries, though. If I can get the energy together.

More landlord stuff dealt with, so maybe I can relax for five minutes now.

Barbelith!

This Sunday
23:48 / 05.10.08
Once upon a time, in a Mexican grocery store in southern California (possibly a Tresierras), there was a display of pomegranates. Above the display, a giant advertisement showing what appeared to be Donna Reed in a headscarf, removing a tray of pomegranates from the oven. And there are daisies everywhere. On the oven, on Donna, on the pomegranates!

And a slogan: DECORATE YOUR HOME

***

This may not bother other people as much, but it flat creeped me out.

Excelsior!

Um... I mean,

Barbelith!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
23:50 / 05.10.08
DONNA REED KNOWS YOU'VE BEEN EATING POMEGRANATES. I can see it now: modern retelling of Persephone, with a Fifties Housewife Icon staring into poor Sephy's soul.

Saint Keggers
23:52 / 05.10.08
Im scared!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
23:54 / 05.10.08
And you faced off with Dracula and everything, so you know terror.

This Sunday
23:54 / 05.10.08
I almost wish I had asked someone working there if they had any idea what was supposed to be portrayed. I mean, you don't even cook pomegranates! And then there's flowers and smiles and... I felt like the token Jesuit in a devil-comes-to-town movie.

This Sunday
23:56 / 05.10.08
If Keggers can't protect us, then who?

Saint Keggers
23:57 / 05.10.08
"DONNA REED KNOWS YOU'VE BEEN EATING POMEGRANATES" I want this on a shirt. The meaning would be a complete mystery to everyone. And there would be evil. Cause, y'know.. Donna Reed and Pomerates...that has to be evil inducing.
