hi!!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
00:55 / 11.02.08
Anybody about?

I've been editing a friend's thesis proposal -- ye gods! -- and now I'm in the mood to work on this futurism piece I'm doing. Plus some friends said I should try to write the storyline for a video game, so I might make some notes for that.

Tell me I'm not alone!

Write the storyline for a video game?

Is this a serious get-it-made sort of thing?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:40 / 11.02.08
Well, not technically, though one of my friends works for a Vancouver-based game-design company, so he might pitch it if the story works.

I might fire the rough idea I have at you on Facestab, if you want.

That sounds cool. Was just wondering because I've always been fascinated by Game Storytelling and it's intricacies. It's completely unlike any other medium and lets you do things that have never happened before. If you're doing it properly.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:10 / 11.02.08
Just fired it at you over FB. It's pretty basic and I have no idea, other than from what they said last night, if anyone would even play such a game.

I just cleaned my kitchen, bathroom, and hallway.

All while suffering from TEH WORST HEADCOLD EVAR.

Anybody shifty this evening?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:07 / 13.02.08
Hi, Liger. I'm indeed slick with shift juices at the mo'.

In, in, into my house after a session of proposal-editing with my friend, talking cultural anthropology bollocks. I've also been pretty productive with the Futurism project I've been working on, should have a final draft to send out in a day or two. Then I can come up with something new and weird to work on.

You?

I'm 25, and I seemed to have immediately shifted over to needing only four hours sleep a night. Is this old age? There could be a lot of long nights from here on in. And I'm probably going to be the last sorry sod of tonight's lateshift.

Italian Futurism? Or something else?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:29 / 13.02.08
I'm still here BH, another Barbenaut taking long sucks on the oxygen tank while I float in the endless void.

Ahem.

I'm here for the moment until I go to take a shower & maybe read some more of "The Friend" in bed until light's out. My lights, that is.

Futurism is maybe the wrong word, just a piece that is a sort of story about the future. Very soft sci-fi.

Ah, ok. I did some reading into the Italian kind once. T'was fun. Think I'm going to go back to reading Nova Scotia: an anthology of alternate futures and other speculative sci-fi stuff set around Scotland. Very good so far, and have been meaning to get it for ages, so pretty spot on for first birthday present so far.

How's you?

Liger Null
00:18 / 14.02.08
I'm kind of going through that meself.

I've been coming up with some interesting ideas for projects, but when It comes down to getting started, I just can't, well, get started.

Saint Keggers
00:23 / 14.02.08
I wish I had solutions for you. ('cause I'd steal them for myself)

Saint Keggers
00:30 / 14.02.08
Cake, pie, pasta and even soup. Those are quality dishes for drownign your sorrows in. Popcorn is, saddly, not.

Liger Null
00:34 / 14.02.08
Hey, I've got tomato soup nuking right now!

Try adding caramel to your popcorn, or cheddar cheese.

The more fat/sugar, the better.

Saint Keggers
00:36 / 14.02.08
Well I did add "movie popcorn" spices to my popcorn. But now I want caramel. grrr.

and/or

Mille-feuilles

Liger Null
00:40 / 14.02.08
That looks interesting.

What's in'em?

Liger Null
00:43 / 14.02.08
I'm not sure why but the cheese & Spinach-filled ones sound really yummy right now.

Saint Keggers
00:47 / 14.02.08
There are cheese and spinach ones? HOW HORRID!!
No, no no!

As I recall it from my youth a layer of icing, and layers of whisper thin pastry, a layer of custard and pastry adn custard and a thicker pastry base. OMG that and pistachio ice cream are my childhood (as far as food was concerned)

Liger Null
00:48 / 14.02.08
I always liked spumoni ice cream.

It's not easy to find anymore though.

Saint Keggers
00:50 / 14.02.08
I dont think Ive had that.

My joy today was made from a recipe I found online for homemade pistachio icecream. I am very much anxiously awaiting summers arrival so that I can test it out.

Liger Null
00:54 / 14.02.08
Just add chocolate and cherry ice creams and you can have spumoni!

I am so sick right now.

I hate coughing.

Liger Null
00:56 / 14.02.08
I just realized I used the phrase "right now" three times in this thread already.

And that's just today.

Saint Keggers
00:57 / 14.02.08
Then dont.

This episode of "How to not do something brought to you by: Keggers"

How bad is it?

Liger Null
01:03 / 14.02.08
Pretty bad, but not life-threatening. I always get some kind of cold or sinus infection this time of year.

And since I refuse to take antibiotics for something that will go away on its own, I just have to suffer and wait.

Saint Keggers
01:15 / 14.02.08
Hehhe. Preaching to the choir. I despise taking anything if I can get away without it. When I was younger I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out with out taking anything (I took a tylenol just to get my mother off my back.)

Liger Null
01:19 / 14.02.08
OW, now THAT's a feat worthy of mister Norris himself.
