You're entirely right, Q—we, all of us, do have a knack for reverting to type, and even for rehashing old arguments.
It's all about context, though; confirming the worst impressions about yourself is bad enough. But to do it in a post that's supposed to be a look back at the way you were—that is, in a context that carries with it a subtext of not being like that anymore? To bring up old hurts in a post that's supposed to represent a clean break?
C'mon. That's not just everyday garden-variety knuckleheadedness. That's just oblivious. And sad, and equally creepy and pathetic, and, in the end, kinda funny. I mean, it's distressing, and more than a little depressing. But still funny, in a bleak sort of way.
