Tom might get back to us before we have to use the banning system anyway. Even if he doesn't we can try it and see what happens. Worst case scenario is we have to resort to the old-style Coates-gun.

Although naturally it'd be nice to iron out the bugs before then.

Does anyone else start to think this has all been a calculated attempt to finally break the spirit of anyone who still believed Barbelith was ever going to resemble anything other than charred post-apocalyptic ruins?

Yes.

I have really stopped reading Barbelith lately. I always used to click here even if I wasn't writing but am losing interest even in this...

Didn't we have a thread where some of the wishlist for Barb II was being thrashed out?

The most recent one is here but there's a slightly longer, older one here.

It depends...how many lights do you see?

That site just made my day.

Can someone explain to me why what AG and GM do is not considered to be trolling or bannable?

And is there anyway to get an iggy to go on indefinitely?

Banning Granny...?

I'm all for it!

Not because I think she's harmful or anything. It'd just be really funny.

Not quite as funny as banning Flyboy though.

We don't usually ban just because someone is irritating and contributes little to the site.

Yeah, we're not looking at ban level conduct quite yet. Morpheus for instance has been a lot nastier, up to and including abusive PMs and the whole "I'm glad London got blown up and I did it with my mystic powerz" thing, and we keep him around. I certainly wouldn't seek a ban on Glenn at this point.

I think this would be not only funny, but also heart-warming, moving, informative, and just all round beneficial for both me and (what's left of) Barbelith.

I think we all need a hug.

I'll go get the hug-cannon.

Just make sure it's meticulously researched and has the kind of sweep and scope it needs. The thread should really be an overview - a 'Greatest Hits', if you will - looking back at seven years of highs and lows, fun and fights, laughter and tears. And then I'll scramble my password at the end of the year anyway.

Well I can't speak for Glenn, but as far as I know I've only got three, or possibly four Barbe-enemies at the moment; I don't know if that's quite enough to get a banning thread underway, but perhaps if you build it, they will come.

Anyway Petey, you're well aware that the unwritten law of Barbelith states that you've got to stay until they turn the lights out. Weren't the site-destruct codes left in your care?

Anyone who doesn't realise that the electricity was turned off some time ago is kidding themselves. At this point it barely even feels like we have water that's safe to drink.

Exactly how many do you reckon a healthy growing boy needs, then?

Five, apparently.
