And yes, it does make me feel better. It really weirds me out how a song, or a film, or a page in a comic can just completely overwrite how I'm feeling and turn me into a gibbering wreck, or a weeping fool, or an ecstatic dancing idiot.

Actually, did the world go daffy for the iPhone? I only know one person outside of the LA area who bought one, but I know lots of LA-people who got them first night. Geographically limited daffiness and just a good marketing campaign to make us think everyone else got them?

I do not know anyone with an iPhone. I know of one person who's touched one, but that's it.

I would really like to do a science fiction story, especially one that mostly uses completely random or unnecessary technologies that are mostly mundane. BUT, of course, after I finish this thing. The first scene's not going so well in the rewrite, but I'm almost done it and then the second scene will probably be much smoother, since I'm actually revising rather than adding.
