An ambulance

Truth.

What's the appeal of Dr. Pepper, if I may be so bold as to enquire?

whothehell@where?
01:38 / 09.08.07
actually, to think of it, dr pepper and scotch share alot of taste qualities, perhaps dr pepper was the first attempt at a nonalcoholic beverage, even before god tried (and failed) with water

And I mean Mountain Dew the trademarked Pepsi product, not real mountain dew which would be putting me back to sleep and possibly paralysing vital parts of me,

I was thinking Pepsi product. I just don't drink sodas. That would be very, very bad for me.

What Mountain Dew paralyzes people?

The Mountain Dew full of shrew saliva, I suppose.
Dr. Pepper. I think it's really just a cherry cola for the most part.
You guys have fun, now.

Saint Keggers
01:47 / 09.08.07
No its like cola mixed with pepper. Hence the name.

This Sunday
01:48 / 09.08.07
The kind you get in the right places in the Carolinas. High end (or, low, depending on how you judge these things) moonshine is also mountain dew. Hence the oldschool Mountain Dew proclamation of being zero proof moonshine.

I've had some local moonshine a number of times, it can be pretty damn good, really. I don't know if I've ever heard it called Mt Dew, though I may have just missed it.

Saint Keggers
01:56 / 09.08.07
I think the closest I've had to moonshine was home made screeech. OMG was that strong. It actually ate into construction boot leather and bubbled paint on my brothers car.

This Sunday
01:57 / 09.08.07
Maybe it's a Qualla Boundary thing? Or thereabouts? Or gone out of fashion and I just listen to too many old folks; been known to happen.

And, yeah, moonshine can be quite good. Except for, y'know, the lack of sleep of late, the perpetual warmth ehre, and such. Anything approaching an exceptional rate of alcoholic content would probably put me out.

Course, now I feel almost guilted. I shall have to bew a pot of the new Nicaraguan freetrade coffee and pretend to have palate. (Not really guilted, but it's a good excuse.)

mmm... coffee. I want some coffee. Irish coffee. Have none.

This Sunday
02:19 / 09.08.07
Irish coffee always seems too sweet to me. I can do sodas in moderation, but heavily sugared hot drinks just weird me out a bit. So, hot cider, yes, but no irish coffee or eggnog.

Anybody here drink cowboys? Bourbon and milk/cream. I'm curious, but not curious enough to try drinking one on the off chance it'll just taste like, well, bourbon and milk.

Saint Keggers
02:23 / 09.08.07
Yeah, Irish coffee is sweet. The pub I go to knows how I like mine so they keep the sweet to a minimum. One of the benefits of going to the same place since they first opened.

And, Venger, I'm beginning to think we need to establish the Great North American Emergency Alcohol Exchange Program. GNAEAEP. Every time somebody posts 'I have no...' a batch goes in a box marked bookrate straight for them.

Sure, the plan has flaws, but it also has booze and goodwill.

I'd like a membership too, please.

I'm outta shiraz, cabernet, and beer.

In other news, the coffee is surprisingly good. Had to sacrifice the first cup, as the cat stuck her face in it and slurped, but there's the rest of a pot for me.

Strong coffee, Yoko Kanno CDs, old Ninja Turtles TPBs and a lateshift. That'll pass the time nicely.

Saint Keggers
02:42 / 09.08.07
Im doing strong coffee, tragically hip mp3s, photoediting and lateshift.

what is that superstition about itchy palms?

This Sunday
02:44 / 09.08.07
I'm outta shiraz, cabernet, and beer.

That's the spirit.

See, it's a good plan. Now who wants to network it? It's like a perpetual workplace holiday gift exchange.

I'm out of... well, now that this bottle's empty... everything. So, one of each will do nicely.

Whiskey, Tequila, and some Moonshine, then DN?

Always!

Im out of bumboo.

This Sunday
02:51 / 09.08.07
Sounds about right. But only the kinds that come in fancy bottles, so I can keep flowers in them afterwards and make the neighborhood jealous of my good taste.

And, itchy palms = money coming your way, a doomed venture you're walking into, or someone's watching you. I've heard all three.

electric monk
02:52 / 09.08.07
I could use some whiskey, actually. And some Canadian beer.

Oh, thanks DN! Good to know.

Hi Monk! Molson or Labatt?

Leigh!

bumboo

This Sunday
02:56 / 09.08.07
Kind of spiced rum, innit? With nutmeg, I think.

Papess
02:57 / 09.08.07
Leigh, good to see you too! I have a few ideas about Venger's bumboo.

Oh, I should have asked if you wanted premium or not. There are some awesome small breweries...can't spell! gah!

Sleeman, Alexander Keith...fab

Labatt! Man, that's a good beer.

And that bumboo sounds dee-lish!

Papess
02:59 / 09.08.07
Gosh, like I should have known there was a pirate connection. Especailly when Leigh shows up too!

That sounds delectable. How do I ship it?
