That´s Supergrass:

We are young, we run green,
Keep our teeth, nice and clean,
See our friends, see the sights, feel alright.

So it is. My misspent youth returns yet again to haunt me with sideburns. What a tangled sock we weave.

Grargh, Elton John's "I'm still standing" has been plaguing me for days. It was briefly knocked out by some 80s soft rock which was just as bad, but Elton soon returned and now I can't even remember what the other song was, it's stuck so hard. Ngh. Lookin' like a true survivor...

Currently either:

1) The Real Slim Shady
I know all the words. Seriously. I can do it at karaoke, and that's *really* fucking difficult.

or

2. O Holy Night
This would be fine, except that I have only ever heard two version of this popular carol: one as sung by Eric Cartman, and the other (variant lyrics) as sung by the Dagon Choir of the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society.

I was thrilled to find when I awoke yesterday that my earworm was The Safety Dance (thanks to Scrubs) and wondered around in a happy fog of nostalgia all morning.
The attraction palled somewhat when I was in my local market, singing away in the privacy of my own head and to my horror blurted out loud "everybody look at your hands!" without meaning to. They all looked at me instead.

there's a bad bad ad on telly here with a man dressed as a large bottle singing 'close to you' (why do birds, fall down from the sky?...) to punters in a drive-through liquor store.

In work I've managed to weaponise it. Exposure to Iron Man will drive anyone, anyone batcrackers and may lead to having your tie stapled to your shirt.

This morning, my neighbour was so kind as to wake me up by loudly playing that sleeping lion song. Now it´s stuck!

Wheeeeeeeee ah Wheee ah whee a oh a way!
Eye in my web, eye in my web. Eye in my web, eye in my web!

Tsuga

Replace it with this. It's the first thing I heard this morning, and I'm liking that it's sticking.

From Dr. Horrible:

Any dolt with half a brain,
could see that humankind has gone insane,
to the point where I don't know
if I'd upset the status quo
if I throw poison in the water main

Listen close to everybody's heart,
and hear that breaking sound,
hopes and dreams are shattering apart,
and crashing to the ground...

I cannot believe my eyes,
how the world's filled with filth and lies,
and it's plain to see,
evil inside of me,
is on the rise...

CANNOT stop listening to this.

Trying to remember the correct lyrics to something with someone can be a right brane-snare. Is it engine five? Nine? What tran-sat line?

Engine, engine number 9
On the New York Transit Line
If my train goes off the track
Pick it up! Pick it up! Pick it up! Let's go!

Tsuga
23:15 / 12.10.08
That sounds like the childhood "eeny-meeny-miny-moe" kind of choosing song, the version I knew was "Engine engine number nine, going down Chicago Line, if the train should jump the tracks, do you want your money back?"
Though there are many versions.

Mist, that's the ELO song, right? Not the Timbuk 3?
