I love the way they also loudly proclaim 'Conservapedia jumps to number one!' followed very swiftly by (among conservative websites)...

This page on guns has some interesting statistics:

Law-abiding citizens carrying guns are statistically an effective deterrant and defense against lawless or criminal individuals. This has certainly been shown in the USA, which had 11,350 murders by shooting in 2005[1], compared with 50 in 2005/06 in the UK, which restricts the possession of handguns.[2] However, it should be noted, that the USA has a population approximately 5 times greater than the UK,[3] [4] the number of murders by shooting is approximately 200 times higher.

Sounds almost liberal, that does, if garbled.

Guns are also a defense against a tyrannical government. Theoretically, if a person has the power to take the life of another, other people will not perpetrate criminal offenses against them. In practice, few existing civilian militias are strong enough to withstand a civil lockdown by a full army.

Um.

Sorry to double-post, but this part of the entry on the UK is priceless:

The existance of the House of Lords is often criticised, particually the Bishops for the UK is a atheistic country of sinners who do not want to hear even the liberal doctrine of the Anglican church.

(It might also be true).

Conservapedia on Wikipedia.

Wikipedia often uses foreign spelling of words, even though most English-speaking users are American. Look up "Most Favored Nation" on Wikipedia and it automatically converts the spelling to the British spelling "Most Favoured Nation." Look up "Division of labor" on Wikipedia and it automatically converts to the British spelling "Division of labour," then insists on the British spelling for "specialization" also.[15] Enter "Hapsburg" (the European ruling family) and Wikipedia automatically changes the spelling to Habsburg, even though the American spelling has always been "Hapsburg". Within entries British spellings appear in the silliest of places, even when the topic is American. Conservapedia favors American spellings of words.

Take that you silly Brits! I'm joinining Conservapedia, who's with me? If you're not, you're against me!

From Wikiality, the Truthiness Encyclopaedia:

The Six Commandments
All You Need To Know...

The liberal bias on Wikipedia has caused a rise in crime, drug use, pre-marital sex, teenage pregnancy, pedophila and beastiality.

Conservapedia articles are governed by six commandments (having ten would just be prideful)[1]. The Commandments are not carved in stone, and new ones can be added.

1. Thou Shalt Have No Other Encyclopedias Before Me.
2. Thou Shalt Not Steal Directly From Wikipedia, Only Paraphrase And Never Cite.
3. Thou Shalt Only Post In The American Language Minus The Curse Words.
4. Thou Shalt Not Lie; Only Literal Biblical Truth Is Acceptable.
5. Thou Shalt Not Hold Any Dating Convention Above BC and AD.
6. Thou Shalt Not Have An Opinion Unless It Is That Of Andy Schlafly.

Any user violating these Commandments will be excommunicated from Conservapedia and will be earmarked for the lowest circle of hell.

It will not load for people because they are all evil liberals! Oh, and probably at least fag-sympathisers, I mean, sympathizers, if not actually fags! Repent, sinners! Only then shall ye be permitted to revel in the golden light of the religious right that is Conservapedia!

From Barack Obama entry:

Commentators have noted that he has many strikes against him in the eyes of the American people. He is politically inexperienced. He is of African descent, which may cause people to pre-judge him.

Yeah, by actually being black, it's he's fault people don't like him for being black.

That site is really fun, in a very I-can't-believe-this sot of way

Sorry, I was twisting velvetvandal's post a bit because I misread 'recreation' as 'procreation'. Move along. Nothing to see.

I've read various analyses which would seem to indicate those results may have been created mischeviously by a person or persons using a program to hit those particular pages repeatedly. Although having said that it would not surprise me if the whole thing was real.

What a large article on Sub-Saharan Africa.

I particularly like the way they've given a reference (in an actual book!!1) for that single sentence.

Wrongly punctuated and formatted, of course.
