I really don't like the guy and i think he is pretty much a prat and and prick. I'm amazed that his lack of talent and general shitness has kept him on TV and Radio for so long. I am annoyed that, thinking about it, i have spent quite a lot of my short life listening to his stupid voice.

I would like to dedicate this thread to the general shitnnes of Mr Jools Fucking Holland and would hope that other people can come and shit on him too...

For people who don't know who the shithead is here is an old inerview with Jello Biafra who pretty much takes him to the cleaners interview wise, but shows Jools up for the lame brain he is.

I know it's petty and I know its shallow and i'm pissed but...WHO'S UP FOR SOME JOOLS HATE!!!

Although I object to the man in many ways, possibly the most as a foul parody of everything the blues stands for, I saw the gentleman in question live about three years ago, and really, really enjoyed it. Which has to stand for something, I think.

Not Really. After watching that Biafra interview again i say smother the stupid little fucker. I'm also living off quite a few years backlog OF HATE of his smary shit so i say shoot the little git (and maybe start a thread on how cool Jello is)

ho! from afar, i always rather thought jools was a bit alright - a bit of an acted up prat, but a bit of a dude on occasion and yes, that solo on uncertain smile is one of the best solos in any instrument on any track imho, so, dissent from the jax.

and pete townshend like(s/d) him, so that's a tick from me.

but feel free to hate loathe detest and wrath away. always up for a bit of angst in the afternoon...

I've always chosen to believe that the piano on Uncertain Smile was a result of Matt Johnson's genius having some sort of area effect. I also find the song is ruined for me if I actually picture Mr Holland smugly grinning while he plays that bit.

Uncertain Smile solo: genius. (Who did the piano solo on the Pet Shop Boys' I Want A Dog, which I've always thought sounded similar? Anyone know?)

Reason to hate Jools Holland: I was told by a guy who runs a music festival that if you book Jools to play, it will cost you £60,000. No matter what. If not one person comes you'll pay him. After that, you're allowed to make £10,000 profit. Over and above that profit, Jools keeps 80 per cent.

Yeah. Eighty-fucking-per-cent. So if the festival makes £110,000 profit, the organisers walk away with £30,000 and Jools makes £140,000. Just for grinning and having musical mates and some kind of freakish piano ability.

(I also quite liked the last couple of episodes of The Groovy Fellers, where it went totally crazy and fourth-wall breaking. But that's irrelevant to this thread.)

I can't even be bothered to cut and paste the image anymore. I'm finding the Mondeo Music Awards very depressing. The disappointing... New Young Pony Club! The barely competent... Young Knives! The smell of... banal middle youth business conference LIVING DEATH! The only way I can see this redeeming itself is if, onstage, Amy shoots up or Dizzee shoots someone.

Alright, alright, I'm sorry (re previous post). I was young, wrong and stupid. I know it's not an excuse. I know I have to live in a hole now in order to make up my karmic debt.

(Although, Petey, the Young Knives dig is something we must...discuss. Yes, "She's Attracted To" was mechanical, faux-witty whote-indie-guitar crap. However, "The Rumour Mill" is a bit tasty, really. To the Music Forum, quite possibly).
