Triplets, you asked about KallistiCon.
I'd imagine it's probably something like a Barbe-meet in that it's a number of smart and interesting people getting together for a weekend and sharing information and creating new stuff together. It's probably a little more structured, though. We have 'workshop' time where people talk about what they're working on and sometimes teach each other stuff, we play Discordian games, we do Discordian ritual, and we do one public culture jamming type event.
Last year, we held a generic protest. We went to Union Square in SF (big semi-ritzy shopping area) with protest signs that said Yes and No and Maybe and Here to Meet Girls. We chanted "Hell No, Hell Yes, We Just Wanna Protest" and similar slogans. Lots of fun.
For a long time, it's been a small sub page from Discordian.com, but I just purchased (yesterday!) Kallisticon.com. Check the site over the next week or two (or join the KallistiCon mailing list from that domain) for updates. There will be a big update push in the next couple of weeks. |
