Glad to have you grant, I think the idea is to spend some time on character creation, then have a short game (maybe over 4-6 weeks?) to road-test the format and the group and make sure people are enjoying it, so if it's taking up too much time then you could always drop out then. Messenger is going to be supplemental but important I think; depedning on how it goes once a week or by arrangement for live sessions, but if the game is proceding happily via the Creation thread we might adjust accordingly. A pdf might be a very handy thing for people to have, any chance you could send it to the other players via PM?

Quite a few on board now, so probably closed to further players for the time being, unless people who previously signalled they were interested don't think they can make it. Lekvar? xk? It would be a pleasure to have your company in the Character Development thread.

Which Messenger are you talking about? There's Yahoo! and MSN; I don't know anything about either. As to privacy— you can easily set up any IRC channel to be both invite-only and invisible (that is, inaccessible unless you know the name), or either one. Dunno if that helps your problems with not private enough. If it does, though, it might make it easier, since folks without Messenger accounts wouldn't have to sign themselves up just to play.

Right, reminders are out to those who haven’t joined the party yet, and Celane has let me know that ze won’t be able to play after all (boo!), but so far as I know the game is still on and should start soon (yay!). Any other problems let me know.

Ok, Lekvar and charrellz have let me know that they won't be able to make it this time around, and I haven't heard from Crux in a bit, so we're probably gearing up to start with xk, grant, iconoplast, gridley and Quantum. If there's anyone waiting in the wings who wants to play then say so now, but only if you're up for reading through the other thread and devising a character fairly quickly. And the link above, which I had forgot to mention previously, was really rather fantastic and scarily accurate!
