We've all done alot. We've all done a lot of the same stuff over and over. This thread is for people to say what they have only done once - that's it.

So, I'll start off with: going to Bristol, eating zebra and drinking a bottle of rum in one session.

All Acting Regiment
13:28 / 19.09.06
The big slides at Southport Pleasure Beach, as a kid, shooting down that mile-long plastic chute, falling out of the sack you're supposed to ride in, and getting burnt down one side to a medium scarlet, with some smoke and drippy blood. Made a stain on the minibus seat going home.

A stain of blood, that is. I wasn't that scared.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
13:46 / 19.09.06
Drinking half a bottle of aftershave.

I'm NEVER doing that again.

COG
13:49 / 19.09.06
Gone to the Pamplona festival. The horror, the horror. Imagine Glastonbury crossed with World War I, staged in St. Ives.

EvskiG
13:57 / 19.09.06
Climbing Huayana Pichu, getting arrested, getting in a punch-up over politics.

pointless & uncalled for
14:06 / 19.09.06
Cycled across Canada, tried raw caribou, watched a new episode of Star Wars in full (and never again, I can assure you).

Kiltartan Cross
14:11 / 19.09.06
Playing guitar badly at Carterhaugh at midnight on Hallowe'en.

I'm possibly giving too much away here, but I did have a go at that sigil magic, just the once.

I tried to follow the instructions down to the last detail - you put down your wish on a bit of paper, turn it into a squiggle, and then fire your intent off into the cosmos, as it were, while meditating on the ideal result, right? Possibly, I got this wrong - anyway, what I asked for was that 'so-and-so' would get in touch within three days, three weeks, or three months. And up to a point the spell seemed to work; we hadn't been in contact for a long-ish while (actually for a bit - you're going to have to trust me on this,) but then three weeks later, give or take a few days, ze phoned up to say ze was going to be really busy at work for the next few months, and then after that was going to be leaving the country for an indefinite period.

I will, I have, tried curling and the novels of Philp Roth more than once, but you do, I feel, have to draw the line somewhere.

I have only once put someone on Ignore.

Ticker
14:46 / 19.09.06
Snuck into the local heritage/historical village in the middle of winter with a lovely companion and used a snow covered bench within the garden grove in an unspeakably sexy manner.

Wisdom suggests attempting to repeat this perfect moment of wickedness would be disastrous.

Mm.

The resistable rise of Reidcourchie
15:11 / 19.09.06
Had sex in a patch of nettles. I'd like to point out that hadn't been the actual plan. I don't reccomend it.

Kali, Queen of Kitteh
15:31 / 19.09.06
Walked all the way from the bar to my apartment just to use the bathroom. Mind you, this was when I lived in New Orleans.

Lama glama
16:04 / 19.09.06
Bought an Avril Lavigne album.

Don't look at me like that!

Dead Megatron
16:44 / 19.09.06
Tasted the water of the Dead Sea, in Israel. If you haven't, you don't have a clue about what "salty" really means. Yuck.

B-but Llama, isn't it ironic, don't you think?

Kali, Queen of Kitteh

What, did he buy an Alanis Morrissette album, too?

Grant: Did you take vast quantities of nutmeg for its hallucinogenic qualities?
Or just once while playing football did you play the ball through your opponent's legs before carrying on, thus making you look cool and hir look foolish?

Chiropteran
18:03 / 19.09.06
I'm hoping that "getting married" turns out to be something I end up only having done once. Going pretty well so far, but I'll keep you posted.

I also ate an entire tissue once. I have a habit of nibbling on paper when I'm nervous and during a recent exam, I devoured an entire tissue. It has a nicer texture than regular paper, but I don't think I'll be eating one again.

Not until next year's exams anyway.

Tuna Ghost: Pratt knot hero
19:50 / 19.09.06
Ate an entire block of medium cheddar. At the time I was all like "this is the best idea I've ever had".

Kali, Queen of Kitteh
20:01 / 19.09.06
How big was this block, TG? 'Cause I love me some cheese.

Elijah, Freelance Rabbi
20:05 / 19.09.06
Peyote.

My tummy is still uneasy thinking of it. Although It might be more fair to blame the booze that night.

Dunno the exact weight, but it was over a pound, I'm pretty sure. It was roughly the size of a brick.

I was high. I kept cutting bite-size chunks off and before I knew it the whole thing was gone. "That was so awesome" I said to myself. Next day the idea did not seem so smart.

Funny postscript: Whenever I tell someone that story, one of two things happens--either they look at me with pity, or their eyes go sort of blank because they're thinking "yeah, I could do that".

Kali, Queen of Kitteh
20:37 / 19.09.06
I'm the one with the blank eyes.

Saint Keggers
20:52 / 19.09.06
Played piano in a diner in Florida. I rocked da house! Assuming ofcourse that one can rock da house by playing "When The Saints Go Marching In"

Which diner?

Grant: Did you take vast quantities of nutmeg for its hallucinogenic qualities?
Or just once while playing football did you play the ball through your opponent's legs before carrying on, thus making you look cool and hir look foolish?

Unfortunately, the former.

Shrug
21:02 / 19.09.06
Jumped out of a moving vehicle, kicked a bouncer, helped an old women across the street, fallen asleep during dental surgery.

Red Concrete
21:22 / 19.09.06
I'm with you on the cheese, I polish off smaller blocks over 2 or 3 days on a regular basis. I'm very much appreciating British cheeses, and ales mind you, since I moved here. You Brits are so paranoid about how bland and homogenous your culture is...

What have I only done once?
Had a lucid dream, bought the Sun (the "newspaper", I mean), LSD + spliff + vast quantities of cider + cocaine (not big or clever, or funny, kids), learn to ride a bicycle , lie in a job interview... (haven't been found out yet, though!)

Only one lucid dream so far? I have a couple a year. Sadly, I´m too lazy to train so I can have them more often. But it´s possible to have them a couple of times a month and more.

encouraging my roommate to eat a half-gallon of ice cream in one sitting and then watching her vomit blood and ice cream an hour later.

assuming that my friends in san diego had no idea what they were talking about, and deciding to conduct a totally unprepared/reckless farmacia run to tijuana (a nice stint in a mexican prison resulted...).
