This clip reminded why I like these movies so much, and why I'll be hating the 4th (seriously, go with "I'm a Mac" guy after Samuel "You were going to call me a n***er, weren't you? Don't fuck with me or I'll shove a lightning bolt up your ass" Jackson?)

Sparrow, seriously, best music video of 2007.

(Just a note, though, you may want to edit out the n-word from your above post as it's liable to cause offence even if none was intended).

Thanks Trips. Didn't realize at the time someone could read it and not realize it was a quote from the film (or even if they knew still could be offensive).

(although, I admit as a personal failure, I can't see how -- just sort of found it funnily pertinent to nowadays, since "Zeus" was rightly seeing this not-racist guy as a racist, since when he met him he was using that unbelievable plaque in the middle of Harlem)

Apparently an ad from the "Superflat" movement

(It's not the context of the word sometimes, Sparrow, sometimes it's the word itself. N***** is loaded with historical and present day nastiness for a lot of people. A word can bring up a lot of bad feeling or connotations without the writer even meaning to.

Although, I do admit that quote/scene is pretty fantastic, especially McClane's response to 'what were you going to call me ?': 'asshole!', and John turning it around and calling Zeus a racist was class, because he fucking was.)

Apparently there's a desire amongst American Conservatives to see Michelle Malkin as a cheerleader. Gosh, she's like Ann Coulter without the intellectual rigour isn't she?

Bush Dancing after a malaria conference. I honestly don't know what to think about this...

Laoi and I saw this on the news yesterday. I wish that you could see the expression on his face, it makes the whole thing even more surreal.

'See, George Bush does like black people, ROFFLLLL. ahahahahahaha this is too funny. I love it'

I can't bring myself to watch it again though, because it's still the hours after saturday night and that just blags my head a bit too much..

Don't really love the video to this, but the band are back, so am still adding.

I'm completely happy with my mind being spared that right now, the whole dancing thing was easily mental enough!

Uh, now I realize, that's a Jack Denfield movie, so probably all of you already watched it. Still, very cool.

Denfeld's stuff qualifies, under this thread, I'd think, for many people. And it helps to have it catalogued outside of its own thread. For people looking later, through the stuff linked here and watching lots of it.

I can't be the only one who's done that.

I remember the creator of Arrested Development saying that when he decided to put Carl Weathers in, it was all about doing jokes of this sort, only with Tobias in the place of Rocky.

Maebie: "He's got a big boy-crush on Action Jackson"

ps: yeah, I know. But I just found it funny since I've never seen the movie and brought a shitload of memories from Arrested Development.

Heat Vision, I don't know if you're named after this particular pilot, but if you're not I should present to you and all others a series where a Nasa Astronaut Jack Black gets too close to the sun, so his brain is fermented to know everything when it's daylight and he fights crime with his friend that became a talking motorcycle dubbed by Owen Wilson. It's "Jack and Heat Vision".

It's really long, a full episode. Favorite line, "hey, I rented Timecop last week, you were the villain".

It's not particularly brilliant or too funny. It's nice, but mostly as a curiosity piece.

Wow. I'm not named after that (rather after the Superman power), but now that you mention it, I remember having heard of that pilot.

Actually, I found it very funny and bizarre. It's like a mix made from a bunch of series from the 80's or something. It's a shame it didn't get made into a series.

"Chapter Two... It has fucking chapters!" Haha, next time, better take a peek before you buy your comics. And he´s definitely right about prices these days. I bought five comics yesterday, and they´re all 2.99 $ each.

What was the choir music in the Invisibles link? From a movie like Matrix or 300 maybe?

Geico's caveman commercials crack me up. Honestly, they're about the only commercials I can stand to watch anymore. Favorites include the first two and the last, the last line of which always makes me laugh a little.

No moving content on this, just a tune. Era Vulgaris by QOTSA, with Trent Reznor performing, which was supposed to be on the upcoming album Era Vulgaris as the title track but later got dropped for unknown reasons. For this to be dropped off the album makes me think the album itself must be fucking unbelievably amazing : Era Vulgaris

and from wiki for QOTSA fans :

On April 6, Queens fansite The Fade announced a promotional contest for fans to win "a special package" from the band, confirmed as legitimate by the band's webmaster, and on April 13, packages were sent to selected winners containing a CD entitled You Know What You Did with the sole track "Era Vulgaris", which Homme separately confirmed would not be appearing on the record. The CD was accompanied by a handwritten letter asking fans to share the song in any way possible:

Hello friend -

Thank you for accepting this gift. Included you will find the will to dance & the song ERA VULGARIS. It was pulled from the new album (of the same name) so that it could be to you and become an example of how we think "from now on" should be. As in - We do for you, you do for us.

So to start this relationship off, we have done for you. Now we ask this in return. Share this with friends you think we (you & us) would enjoy. Upload it and spray it like time released graffitti (sic) on the websites of places it does not belong.
