That's a fair point, Pepsi Max. However, that de-grounding of texts, language, and even communication in its simplest form seems to be the most skeptical of any approach. It's one thing to sit around and wonder if you really exist or not. It's kind of a gleefully pointless game, don't you think?
I wouldn't lump him with the classical Greek skeptics, but I think he's much more...practically skeptic. His tactic--to attack our sheer ability to communicate--undermines a very fundamental part of our existence. And, moreso than the classical skeptics at least, has significantly more disconcerting ramifications. |
