I might have posted this before, but I still think this song roundhousekicks donkey, despite the censored words.

DEV2.0 might be one of the most moronically perfect things I've ever seen. It's Devo done by Disney kids made with the co-operation of the band.

That's Good

Whip It

These kids might not quite be through being cool, but you should wait till they at least grow some curlies before taking them to task on it.

Apparently, there are other things being done in the same mold, but with Devo, it's so perfectly prefab and... and... de-evolutionary.

Yes.

Yes.

New Polysics!

Pretty Good.

Reminds me a lot of "I, My, Me, Mine" but where wee Strong Machine Ver. 2 processes the music in her central CPU, these guys mainline it into their arms and spazz it out on the dancefloor.

Liking the subtly different new costumes too.

Loudness - Terror

Listening to Wind from Tibet from Loudness after news reports about what's happening lately with the Chinese Government and Tibet.

Here's some Mongolian folk-rock from Altan Urag.

It's pretty darn good. Sounds more like Hedningarna than you'd expect.

Not really to do with an artist really, but relates to DRM in general, I really liked this video.

That version of Rasputin rocks a moose's ass; double-kick drum Boney M works.

Pirate metal! (shame it's not actually a video as such)

Early multitracking in Multiple SIDosis.

I wouldn't be surprised if this audio gem (barely) predated rock & roll.

It's certainly pre-Beatles.

Not YouTube, specifically, but While My Ukulele Gently Weeps is genuinely beautiful.

You might expect kitsch. There is no kitsch- this is a virtuoso. Admittedly, it's a baritone uke, so it's closer to a guitar than you might expect, but still. Gorgeous arrangement.

This is what I wanted 21st-century music to be like.

As far as I can tell, this is one guy with a laptop and a few good mics traveling around the world and getting musicians (mostly buskers, I think) to collaborate on one song. South Africa, Venezuela, Amsterdam, New Orleans....

Beck covers Velvet Underground, and it's awesome:

I'm Waiting for My Man.

Sunday Morning.
