Hum, I'm 'Rumbleburst', which seems quite popular. You, toksy, are either Steamstreak (ficsuit) or Razortron (irl).

It has to kind of work with your username, by my completely arbitrary rules, and I'd therefore dub you Toksixshot.

I think it may be a language thing. DM, really, when OP and Megatron ask each other why they are risking their lives, it's a snap. They aren't actually sincerely concerned about each other's welfare or keenly soliciting each other's opinion. Honest.

I have to admit this is a possibility. But I just re-watched the scene and, as far the voice acting goes, I didn't get that vibe. Megatron's question was made more in agner and frustation (like, "I know you're smart, Prime, why do you insist in fight the inevitable -i.e. my victory). And Prime's response sound like a tired resignation ("There's no point explaining, wer are doomed to fight to the end, for you refuse to see things my way as well).

But, yes, it could be just a snap. I still think they shared a warrior's respect for each other. It was, as I stated in my first post, a sublte thing neither one was exactly prone to admit.

And, answering Fanconator indirect question, I'm not picking a fight, I was just responding in a bit of frustation for Haus's choice of words, not his different opinion, which I respect and accept, being it the more "mainstream" one - the "mutual respect" thing is a very personal opinion of mine, indeed. I have no intention of escalating it, nor, in all honesty, I believe Haus does. Lets keep the argument in the transformers' trivia level.

(And although the Megatroll pun is a good one, I'd say calling me a troll for that is a bit much)

Oh, okay, Haus. I never bothered finding out much about the Japanese stuff - Transtectors? I believe their cartoon continuity's meant to be pretty good, but that's about all I know. TF are also my only encounter with slash, thus far; when I first had net access, I found what appeared to be a beautifully, ornately crafted fanfic, but by around Chapter 9 or 10 there was robo-shagging. It was something of a surprise.

I wasn't really asking you anything, Megsy. But carry on...

Actually, riddle me this: is Megatron better than Prime, then?

Actually, riddle me this: is Megatron better than Prime, then?

That would be a most definetely NO!!!! Nobody's is as good as Prime. He was teh 'Bot!!!1!1!!! But Megatron was a close Number 2. And Grimlock, a close Number 3.

Prime for President!

What about Starscream? Starscream is to Megatron as Grimlock is to Optimus Prime, in many ways, and was always portrayed as nearly on Megatron's level (In the cartoons, anyway. I think I only read one Transformers comic, The Coming of the Headmasters, or something. Awful!).

Transformers side note: Who remembers that National Guard guy from a few years back who legally changed his name to Optimus Prime? "Optimus Prime Fighting in Iraq" stories abounded on the internet, but I don't know if our British brethren were exposed to this diehard among diehard Transformers fans. I wonder if he's still alive?

My Cybertronian name is Saberfire.

My brother's is Sabertron. I guess that means our gestalt is Tronfire.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you my own diabolical Decepticon alter-ego...Nitrofire!

On the Megatron/Prime thing, I'm wondering how many of the comics Dead Megatron has actually read? Because Megatron hates everyone, although he does go absolutely tonto when Optimus Prime allows himself to be killed in some bollocksy 'I lost the game because I killed imaginary pixel people' story. So, yes, maybe he just wanted to leave the war behind and live with Optimus on some deserted atoll, maybe.

Didn't Scorponok have some deathbed 'I was created a Decepticon but my heart is Autobot' conversion at the end of the original comics, when Unicron turned up to eat Cybertron?

ONLY NICE THINGS

Basically, Scorponok fell in love with Prime - his inherent honour and nobility was reawakened by OP, and he died in Prime's arms.

"Did I do well, Prime?"

"You did well. Rest now... brother."

Or words to that effect.

On the Megatron/Prime thing, I'm wondering how many of the comics Dead Megatron has actually read?

Only the first few and the last few (of the original series). There's a huge gap there in my knowledge about comis Megatron/Prime. But I'm talking cartoon Prime/Megatron (I should have defined that earlier)

The Go-Bots were the Lidl Transformers. I mean, their home planet was Gobotron (IIRC) and looked like an silver apple core. And I saw some of the toys, smaller and cheaper than the Transformers... before they went the same way themselves.

Somewhere, I think it's X-Entertainment, they reviewed the terrifyingly large Unicron transformer toy.

Female TFs

Unicron.com, featuring all iterations of the toy I'm aware of, including an amusingly fat one.

Also, best Arcee homemader I can find.

And, erm, even though you've an a.e. of Mike Robot already, O king, I christen you Jhiaxus Denfeld.

I too am Nitrofire! Does this mean that Evil Sci' and I now have to duel to the death for exclusive rights to the name, while the rest of our respective teams look on?

All this talk of Prime/Megatron, Dinobots and the like is fine, but I think we need more love for the mid-echelon TFs, often odder and more interesting than the big guns. Weren't the likes of Mirage and Sunstreaker good candidates for defection to the Decepticons a few times, or did I just make that up? And why did Blurr spell it like that?

Oh, hell. I've said it before, so I'll reiterate: Wheeljack was my favourite and I don't care who knows it. For many years, his motto was mine: "Never do what your enemy expects you to do." Boy, I must have been a pain.

i liked Ultra Magnus. and the motorcycle (a Junkion - what a name) played by Eric Idle, Wreck-Gar. still, not as good as Vehicle Voltron.
