punce, have you heard any Tiga yet? His first album proper, Sexor, is fantastic, and packed with excellent dancefloor grooves. I meant to start a thread about him actually... anyway, highlights to download are 'High School' and his cover of 'Louder Than A Bomb'. In vaguely the same vein, search for these tracks:

Robyn - 'Who's That Girl?' - like a poppier, happier Knife or a tougher Annie.

Scenario Rock - 'Skitzo Dancer' (Justice Remix) - I believe Scenario Rock are French, they're kind of like a pre-shit Beastie Boys with less attempts to rap properly and more manic shouting of "DISCO! DISCO DISCO!", over mad electronic noises.

Michael Dracula - 'Destroy Yourself' (Optimo Remix) - Goths gone techno! A very good 'warming up' track.

(I may be able to supply some of these if you can't find them.)

Punce, I'm gong to copy you Deep Cuts by the Knife because, frankly, if you don't own it you're an arsehole.

The Robyn recommendation is seconded. Best song off a brilliant album.

Whatever you do Boboss & Punce don't go and see The Knife live, i did last week and they pretty much ruined my enjoyment of them forever. Stage show, although encorporating very high production values, was basically like hanging out with stomp at the edan project. As for the live renditions of their tracks, well it was like the soundtrack to a wildlife doc converted into trancy ringtones. Sucked big balls basically.

Certainly don't deserve to be called The Knife. Bastards!

Thankyou so much for the heads up, boys. Harrison, are Meatspace a straight up band? What's their schtick?

I've certainly heard Tiga's early stuff, back when he was DJ Tiga. Wasn't he responsible for 'Sunglasses at Night' and various other things littering a whole bunch of my early zeroes electroclash compilation/mix albums? I've heard his 'Hot in Herre'. V fun.

I am eager to check out all the music pleasure

I've been loving a bit of older folk music recently. I've got a fairly limited selection mainly Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Bert Jansch. Watching a few BBC programs on the history of British folk impreesed me greatly with the guitar/banjo skills on show. Due to being slighly pissed during BBC folk night I have no idea who I seen apart the aforementioned whom I already know. Help, please.

If I return from my cigarette to find a Bob Dylan suggestion I shall not be amused.
