Stewart was OK. He's no Stephen Fry though.

What were the AMPAS thinking, voting Crash best film? It wasn't bad (and Matt Dillon probably should have got Best Supporting Actor) but it paled beside Brokeback Mountain.

Crash winning was a shock, I'll admit. I would give the nod to Capote if I had a vote, but Brokeback Mountain and Good Night and Good Luck were both superior by leaps and bounds. At least there were three legitimately excellent movies on the ballot this year. I don't think there have been that many in recent memory.

Shame none of them won, though.
