Bambling, sorry not to reply sooner - the closest thing I can think of for The Devil Ride's out is probably Rosemary's Baby - it has that unnerving nack of making every day things seem slightly out of sync, slightly unnusual and unnerving - plus the performances are great, just theatrical enough to make it odd, but still real enough to add to the whole unnerving feel of the film (basically a battle of wits between God and the Devil).
