Better learn how to kneel

Pyewacket The Elder

Hi! I'm new and shiny and extremely good-looking.
I have run a lengthy search on my chosen moniker via Google, various dictionaries of languages old AND new, consulted learned beardy types and run complex algorithms on my ZX Spectrum computer.
Having done this I can state as absolute fact that my name is in no way objectively, or subjectively, 'unacceptable' (actually that's not strictly true - in the entirely fictional nose-flute dialect of Kadath 'Pyewacket' actually means 'Goat-buggering son-of-a-whore'. Despite the graphic nature of the meaning it is worth pointing out that it is only used as a term of endearment between Kadathian politicians of the same sex and on Tuesdays only.)

I should point out that I am currently finding the letters 'K' 'N' 'O' 'B' and the numbers 3, 7 and 12 wholly UNACCEPTABLE and request that all 'lithers refrain from using them. My religion demands I rain down flaming sewerage on those that do.

Thanks!!!!! Peace y'all.

Qalyn, you take care of who you want, and rest assured that I'll be sat here appreciating it. If you're not Denfeld's official enforcer, then by God you should be.

(That's a "yes", by the way).

Oh god, does that mean I have to read the threads? I've been avoiding them out of sheer boredom.

I find it helps to imagine the Peter and the Wolf song in your head while you read.

I imagine 'The Nutcracker Suite'.

Oh, and hello new people. Remember, no spitting. You can't avoid the candles forever, and trust me, you'll only make it worse for yourself in the long run...

That's really nice of you to say so Boboss - although i can't accept your praise as I didn't invent the subject. Nonetheless you make me feel all warm and smiley!

I want to point out that by the fact that you have made a meta-comment upon my revolutionary thinking then that must mean, by the fact that you could meta-comment upon it at all, that you are in fact TWICE as much a revolutionary thinker than I!!! How cool is that!!!!!!!!!!!
*Pyewacket once again dematerialises up his own backside*

...Quite possibly

That's Totally FACT!!!... Oh hang on ...you devil you! I see what you're doing! Now you've made a meta-META-comment!!! that means you are a more revolutionary thinker TIMES BY THREE!!! I can't keep up with this anymore!!!!

I can only express Gracious and genuine 'welcomes' to all new members of the Barbelith Forum past and present. May we all be judged by our actions and not what we wear.
Peace y'all!

*Pyewacket rockets buttward and seals the crack behind him never to return*

Pyewacket Baby, you are SO WELCOME! Anyone who has the taste and discrimination to take a username that namechecks the familiar of a witchy Kim Novak in Bell, Book and Candle, one of my favourite films of all time, is very welcome here.

Hi. Thanks for the invite. I'm a 40-year-old, male New Yorker. I direct plays, teach video/film editing, post production, animation and web/print design, write books, and speak at media-related conferences. When I find myself with a second of free time, I waste it doodling. Or I write blah-blah-blah stuff on my blog, "Wittgenstein, Shakespeare, and Cookie Monster". I also spend time posting half-baked questions and answers at AskMe. I look forward to meeting all of you and, hopefully, contributing something to this community.

Herald of the Yellow Sun

Hello all. I am seventeen and male and hail from the land of Vermont, found in the northeast of Unistat, though I currently am attending my first year at Bishop's University in Quebec. I'd like to be a writer, but I also love politics, philosophy, anthropology/cultural studies, math, physics and art, to name a few. In other words, I'll probably have a B.A. in about ten years. I like building forts and exploring, and Barbelith rocks. Peace,

HOTYS

Finally someone who'll be of use when the zombies come. Welcome Herald, maybe we can avoid the asscandal ceremony if you turn this place into Fort Barbelith by suppertime.

Maybe.

I was never asscandled. In the old days it wasn't considered necessary, but then there was a thread in the Policy...

Hi, I'm Kylark.

I'm delighted to finally be a member of Barbelith.

Heh. Member.

I'm 31 and I live in Minneapolis.

I'm one of those magickians who don't have their shit together in Malkuth. Fortunately, I don't have delusions of having my shit together on any other plane, either.

I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom.

14-15:10
15-16:11
16-17:12
17-18:Uni-1
...
20-21: Fourth year of uni for me.

How old were other 'lithers when they started uni?
