ALAN MOORE & MELINDA GEBBIE

Saturday, 12 July, 7.45pm

Alan Moore is a seminal figure in the graphic novel genre, and together with wife and collaborator Melinda Gebbie they discuss Lost Girls, a cult work which combines a soft-edged drawing style with explicit sexual content. Their work questions self-censorship, style and the interplay between the two.

This visual presentation is chaired by Roz Kaveney, writer, journalist and author of Superheroes!

Prices: £9 (Concessions: 50% off, limited availability)

It was better than the Stewart Lee event a year or two back, I don't know whether it was the benefit of distance from when the book was published or whether Ros Kaveney is a better interviewer, Alan started events by reading part of the Beats chapter from The Black Dossier and then they talked about Lost Girls and the creative process, I'm not sure if it was much different to what they've said before in other interviews but Moore and Melinda Gebbie are amusing raconteurs.
