Hang on. Let's put aside whether Guns are Good, or not - that conversation could go nicely in Head Shop, if you want to have one.
The thread-starter wants to discuss which gun one would choose to kill everyone in a room. What I am interested in knowing is why on Barbelith? Why is this discussion here?
I'm not convinced that it should be here. And I'm not entirely sure it wasn't started purely to incite the sort of guns-are-good vs guns-are-bad parallel conversation that is going on in the thread.
Why can't it just be moved to Head Shop and have the Thread Summary changed to reflect its intention? Or better still, locked/deleted?
Oh come on. Some people own guns, and some people will discuss them. The only people messing the thread up are the people who don't seem to own them, and a few others. I don't like guns but I'd still let the conversation go on if some of the gun owners here would want to have it. Yeah they kill people and they're pretty fucked up, but it's not like the guns of the world are going to get banned if we don't allow thread about it to carry on. (yes you was thinking that. No, no, just leave it.)
