Good ol' +#'s,-names is currently working on a place where we can showcase the work. But egads! it's the holidays so I wouldn't expect him to have something ready by deadline time. I was hoping for a bit more input on how people would like things to unfold however.... Build it up from the start into something we can all mutually agree upon.
Are we talking about setting up a whole separate website, like an online gallery, or links to hosted snapshots/scans - a la the Blue Book, or a wiki page, a la the Third Wandering Notebook, or something else entirely?
any reason why we could't just have a communal flickr page that we've all got the password for, and upload scans, files or photos of what we've done? Maybe have an album for each project?
Well I did suggest that as an option on pg1 jd people were not very forthcoming with the answers though. eh?
Well I dunno, names is working on the website which I think might be pretty cool. Especially considering how accomplished his site is!
Oh and I haven't done mine yet although ideas have been forming. I know I am teh slovenly but either way I have no way to upload until the 3rd....... So how about letting it drag along a little.
Sekhmet: The only necessities I detailed to names were that "We would need to be able to scroll from picture to picture, with a place for credits and commentary.". Which would indeed give us the functionality of flickr.
Did I leave anything out?
I'm going to suggest this goes on hold for about another little bit until the site is up and running. Sorry for delays the Collective shall trundle into being soon I hope.
I'm not sure the other site is going to happen. I've set up a Flickr account under the name Barbelith Artist Collective and will email the thread participants with the sign in details later this week. If you'd like throw up whatever you've done for A is for Apple.
