Yes it was a cartoon show called "Rainbow Fish", Hunterwolf. My son was watching it...not me! (although I sometimes enjoy a good bugs bunny cartoon).
As far as my wishes go Gek, you have left me a bit up in the air here. I have been patient but I only got half of what I requested. I am going to ask others what I migh have done wrong here and how should I proceed. Should I try to post those wishes again? Do you think Gek is unfamiliar with me and is reluctant? I helped to post hir image so maybe ze will be better aquainted with my energies now. I just don't get it. Gek doesn't like me!!!

Impulsive -- it's been about 6-8 months since I first made my wish requests for Gek (I think/estimate), and I have seen very small changes come very, very slowly. I've also been trying to clean up my spiritual energies (through several methods) in case there is any kind of spritual dark cloud or some such impeding my progress. Any thoughts/comments?

Is this something you could look into and just check, see if anything unusual or specific is up with my situation? Thanks very much for your response and consideration, impulsive! Peace!

Hunter it's just a long process with you...and you knew that. It's getting done and when the results re finally in it'll blow you away. It's just a bunch of variables that need to be dealt with.

Impulsive, thanks for your post. I'm not just saying this to seem cool or faithful in the process, honestly, but I figured it was just a matter of time, faith, and patience. I only brought it up since you said something akin to 'hmmm, Hunter, are you seeing tangible results? If not I can look into it.' So I figured, what the heck, I'd take you up on your offer.

I really never had a doubt that Gek, Ganesh, and several others who I've called on for aid would help me out. And, like I said, I have seen gradual, distinct progress, it's just been very slow, but deliberate. I trust the universe is helping me out here, and sensing the sincerity of my will, effort, and intent.

I really appreciate you looking into it for me, though -- thanks much. And I do believe the results at the end of this particular journey will be awesome and wonderful to behold. Thanks -- I owe you one!

Alrighty, I just made a banana layer cake with lemon buttercream frosting.

It is fucking gorgeous.

It is not crooked or leaning over in any way.

It is a heart attack on a plate. (The frosting is made with a whole pound of butter.)

Hi, this is only baout the second or third time that I've even been on the 'Lith site and the first that I've given the "GEK" thread a look-see. Having recently begun to practice my own version of magic, I can see where a lot of this Gek stuff is coming from, etc. But I'm confused. Who/what is Gek? An amalgam of other spirits? A new spirit called into the world for use here? What are hir (?) functions/spheres of influence?
I feel like questions like this are some sort of penance that I have to do for staying off the 'Net for so long.
Anyway, just curious and thanks.

Gek rules. Hir (a blend of him and her and it) be a servitor Impulsivelad created for the soul purpose of granting wishes (like a genie) for lithers (which came to include Imp himself).
Gek loves sacrifices of milk and cookies, chocolate (so I'm told), and has been known to sneak one of the French cigarettes I smoke for my own servitor from time to time. Wiley one, that gek.

Plus one day we're going to get married.

A while back I started a thread to grant Barbeliod wishes. It got a bit out of had and so I created get as a sort of e- genie. Through use Gek has evolved into the multicolored, gecko, made of language and old fiction suits. (see badass pic.)

How do you use Gek? You place your wish here, eat or offer milk and cookies, cake, cauliflower, broccoli... at this point damn near anything. Gek reads it and goes about making it happen.

Talk about your synchronicities. About two years ago I had a tattoo of a lizard that I had drawn the pattern of. I mention this only because that led me to actively choosing the lizard spirit as my "helper" (for lack of a better word). The day after my last post, a miracle happened that can only be explained by luck or spiritual intervention or forcing my will upon fate (if these are in fact different things). The next day, I find another group who are in the process of making another one of these servitors (that's the word, yeah?) And then today, while outside on a walk with some friends and their dog, in the 40 degree (F) cold, I spot a lizard moving around inside a log. Somebody tryin' to tell me something here, or what?

I've been wondering a bit of late, mainly due to the lack of overt progress regarding my request to Gek some time ago (that job thing, remember Gek? Unemployment is fun but pays very poorly...), how much of Gek's power is linked to one's active participation in the Magick forum and/or Barbelith as a whole. I've been kicking up the cookies and milk on a pretty regular basis, but I haven't been contributing a lot to the board, and I wonder if perhaps that's the blockage point. Since Gek is a servitor linked to the board, it seems like it could be a key factor. Thoughts, Impulsivelad?

Just wanted to say hi, check in with the Gek -- I can feel a new wave of progress in my wishes building up! My father's goal is almost reached. Thanks, Gek!

And to the previous poster -- when did you post your wish? I doubt Gek's influence is dependent on you posting frequently as opposed to infrequently on this Board, but that's just my opinion.

I've found that sometimes a lot of patience and faith is necessary with such spells and servitor work - just trust that the universe got your message and is steadily working on it. You might be surprised.........
