You know, I can't help wondering where all this is going to end up. Two possibilities present themselves:

#1 We all get more and more grabby and increasing numbers of people want a peice of Gek, causing hir to become more and more diffuse until ze is no longer able to function as advertized. (Aww! Sad!

)

#2 We all use Gek more and more but thru our interaction ze becomes stronger. Ulitmately we end up tipping hir over into a new state: egregore-hood. (Yaayy! Cool!

... er... maybe. )

My thinking- and correct me if I'm just being weird or overenthusiastic- is that we should actively try and aim for, and even pre-empt, condition #2. This way we'd have some control over the process and the eventual outcome.

Therefore I propose that interested parties work out some kind of communal leg-up for Gek to help hir achieve critical mass.

What does everyone else think?

I would still love to know who I can (regular) mail or fax my Gek picture to -- I'm really proud of it, and it's a synthesis of several 'Lith Board Members' ideas about what the Gekster would 'look' like. Anyone? Email me!

(And thanks again, impulselad and Gek......my requests are not fully granted yet.....but I know patience is needed here. I just had some of the orange Hostess Cupcakes for ya, Gekky old boy!!)

Well, Gek, thanks for tying up the loose ends of my lovelife. No happy endings, but then I didn't ask for them did I? Hope you dug the superjumbowoahthatsonebigcookie size cookies I've been dedicating to ya. Also thanks for the assists with random vibemongering on the Peace Mango.

Well, a sort of no-strings-attached milk'n'bikkie-fest, where we dedicate our biscuit consumption to increasing Gek's abilities instead of granting our wishes. But I suppose we could just all "donate" a suitable comestible to Gek as and when the fancy takes us.

Two things, Gek, oh helpful and friendly one:

A friend of mine is undergoing an operation for cervical cancer in the near future. I'll be sigilizing for health soon, but every little bit helps... They're supposed to be burning the illness out, so give 'em a hand, if you would.

Some help on the matter I previously invoked your name for would be nice, as well. Trying to come at that from all angles.

After that, make every digital watch, computer and calendar you can find flip over to 2002- I'll give you three days for that one- then assist us all to keep or break our new years resolutions, according to what you know we really wanted.

Hey there everyone! I finally got my Gek image scanned to show you all -- now, to recap, this was created after reading a post where one 'Lither said they had a vision (or a dream vision, I can't recall) of seeing Gek somewhere in Britain. They described our buddy the Gekster as being composed mostly of text and words and ideas, and that image stuck in my mind.

Then, when someone pulled up the clever little Gekko image from a Playstation game featuring a James Bond-esque gekko lizard, I thought, "this is it. this is where I put the vision in my mind on paper." And so I went to work at my temp job (read: rent-paying job for an actor in NYC) at creating my image of Gek, figuring this would have the effect of many many cookies consumed! Plus, it just felt so right, and it was so much damn FUN to do!

So here it is -- I'm new with attaching images on this Board, so hopefully you can all see this. I got it scanned at a Kinko's in NYC.
