Londonstan - too dangerous for the USAF who single-handedly lost The War Against Terror with their travel ban on it's staff visiting anywhere inside the M25. In the past hour or so, responding to overwhelming pressure and criticism, the order has been recinded, but it still made me angry.

And indeed Luton. And the polcce have revealed that the London bus bomber died in the blast... though it is probably worth noting that this doesn't necessarily mean that he was a suicide bomber...

WTC attack = hype?!

Quite frankly yes. Sticking to what we know and not speculating about who was behind it. It is hyped. Although a hugely tragic loss of life, and being a monumental historic event, it is not historic for the it being the largest terrorist attack, in terms of terrorist atrocities it isn't that large. Far more people died in other terrorist actions worldwide. What makes it historic is who was attacked. Look worldwide and you can find dozens of upon dozens of cases where US/UK have been involved in terrorist atrocities, either directly (for example Iraq) or by proxy through their client states (Isreal/Palestine, Turkey, Indonesia, Nigeria, Columbia, Nicuragua/Honduras etc). Mind you these examples fall down as these are not viewed as terrorist actions, mainly because it is the terror of the strong against the weak, and is therefor called counterterror.

The WTC was the first major instance where the strong was attacked back, it was also the first instance for almost 200years that US national territory was attacked. And that is why it was historic.

This does not mean that I deem the loss of life of mainly innocent people as being ok. I certainly, without a shadow of a doubt, do not think that but similarly, I do not think the loss of innocent life anywhere to be a horrible action.

What we do have to do is view the WTC attacks in the context of what has been happening since the end of the 2nd World War but we also have to look at what we have been responsible for world wide then look at what happened on september of 11th and what happened in London.
