I hate you, alejandrodelloco. I had just gotten Kompressor's version of girl from ipanema ouf of my head, and now you have smashed it back into my brain with furious Kompressor might.

I'm getting very disappointed in my school's library and its patrons. No copies of Foucault's Pendulum. Only PKD book they have is Man in the High Castle. But they do have Da Vinci Code, or at least, they would have it if it weren't checked out. Ugh.

And now that I think about it, what the hell good are commas anyway?

I'm reading that at the moment, and quite enjoying it. Yes, they make staggering leaps to reach conclusions, and make stuff up and so forth, but I find the authors' enthusiasm kind of endearing. And I've always enjoyed reading about the whole Merovingian/Templars/Rennes-le-Chateau conspiracy thing, so Holy Blood & The Holy Grail is a real treat for me.
BTW, chick dig conspiracy theorists, or so I'm told...

IS IT ANY GOOD AS A THRILLER?

The pacing's not bad (although the endless exposition slows it down a bit) but the plot does tend to rely on characters becoming magically stupid in the interests of suspense, which is intensely irritating. So it's okay as a thriller, but not great. I've spoken to some people who think it fails at that as well, so you may well disagree with me if you read it...
