Just listened to it... it's... wow.
I'll post more when I'm a bit less awestruck.

I have to mention this.

I brought the album home yesterday (after hurting myself with it on the car stereo the whole way) and put it on for my wife to hear. My little two-year-old son decided immediately that he liked All the Love in the World, and started doing his floppy side-to-side baby dance, but with a few new moves thrown in. When You Know What You Are started, though, he looked up at the stereo and bounced experimentally a couple times, then turned and walked off into his bedroom - we figured it was a little much for him. A minute later, though, he returns with his tambourine for more jangly baby-dancing! I guess he decided it just needed his special touch.

Someone phone Trent: more tambourine.

Im really digging "only"... reminds me of The Faint, or maybe even Pulp, in a twisted dark reznor-ish sorta way. I really dig the last track, love it love it love it. Nice note to end out the album with, I think.

But, all in all, it reminds me of the last 2 studio albums. i still like it tho

"With Teeth" is number one on Billboiard after it's first week.

Hell Yeah!

Let's just hope it lingers in the top ten a wee bit longer then "The Fragile".

It'd be nice, but I'm guessing it won't happen... it'll be what I call "New Model Army" syndrome. The vast majority of people who are gonna buy it will have bought it within the first week of release- especially after a six year wait. Then it'll vanish. Sucks, I know. BUT... "The Hand That Feeds" seems to have been going down well with people, so maybe I'll be proved wrong. As I say, it'd be nice.

Well, after it's second week in the tope ten it dropped to number 5... only 4 spots. Nowhere near as drastic a drop as "The Fragile". I'm surprised, this album is doing much better then I thought it would.

Why are you surprised?

Might be because of the delay between albums - the five year drop between The Downward Spiral and The Fragile is most often cited as the reason for its failure to perform as well as expected (although it's a common misconception that the latter underperformed - it just didn't do as well as previous material). Equally, it's been years since Reznor was rated as one of the most influential producers in American music - although his influence can still be seen all over the pop charts, the record-buying public doesn't necessarily see NIN as a potent force anymore...

Saw them last night- DAMN, the new stuff's good live. My only criticism was that they didn't play Right Where It Belongs or (my personal favourite from WT) Every Day Is Exactly The Same.
A decent-length set (although I could easily have handled a lot more) with a stunning selection of stuff from his whole career. My favourite part was when they played The HAnd That Feeds, and myself and Tabitha Tickletooth were counting down to that cool 80s-type noise (you know the one I mean). Chemicals were involved.
Hurt was stellar- I'd kind of been hoping they wouldn't play it anymore, cos, y'know, it's Johnny's now. But watching it last night it struck me what a pisser it would be if, now Mr Cash is gone, no sod ever played it again.

And I'm seeing them again next week! Life is good. Well, you know. Tormented and angsty, obviously, but good.

Awesome. I'm seeing them both Sunday and Monday in Manchester. I know they like to do a totally different set-list every gig, so maybe you'll get your wish. I hope I do.

Has anyone here tried their hand at remixing Only yet?
