Well, I'd suggest that the Americans who aren't buying it aren't buying it because there's not much of it available to buy yet in America.
I'd also suggest that if punk can appeal to a reasonably large audience without requring any "skill", then so theoretically can grime. Whether it will or not remains to be seen...
Might be worth noting that the forthcoming Roll Deep and Kano albums are rumoured to contain a lot more material that sounds like hip hop and r&b. |
