seems like a good vehicle for Bell, in the 'horror/suspense weird kind of movie' vein. Didn't she do a similar type of film a year or so ago, about ghosts that come through your TV or computer/white noise or something like that...?

Congrats to Ray!

This gives me a happy face. Mnemovore was and remains my favourite thing to come out of Vertigo in years by a mile. And while Hollywood doesn't have a great record of turning things I love into movies, the mere fact it's going to feature Kirsten Bell makes me think it will at least be worth watching. And frankly even if it's dire, I'm quite glad Ray and the rest will presumably be making a bit money of off the production. They can't possibly have been paid enough for the comic book itself. Happy, Happy, Happy.

And that other movie was Pulse - I didn't think it was brilliant but it had Veronica Mars and Arvin Sloane in it, so it needed to be watched.

A bit of clarification on Ray's behalf, since it doesn't appear that he posts here that much any more - this isn't a done deal quite yet. Hans Rodionoff shot a 10-minute short starring Kristin Bell and Michael Biehn as a test demo to secure funding for a feature, and it's my understanding that Bell agreed to appear in the short on the condition that she be given the lead role if the feature went into production. Del Toro and the other producers' involvement is a new development though, so it looks like it's moving forward slightly. It's still a bit premature to say that the movie is definitely happening and definitely starring Bell, however.

I hope that it does happen though, it would be a really great thing for Ray! Fingers crossed!

Fingers crossed despite never having even read the book -- I was underwhelmed by #1 and never bothered looking for #2. This was my pre-'lith days so I had no loyalty reasons to stick with it.

Repeating question from page 2: was/is there a trade?
