It is better developed, and did have good SFX, but I didn't like how they adapted Octopus' history... the tentacles looked good, though.

I read that idea the first time on Spider man 2099 (A comic from, I don't know, ten or fifteen years ago). It's logical, but does take off the scientific taste of Peter.
I definitely had trouble with the actress representing MJ... she's beautiful and all, but she doesn't look like MJ to me.

Ha, I know what you mean about public tv being hell, I rarely ever watch it now. I don't have sky/cable either though....

I have been using Directv ofr a year or two... but now it's stopping it's tramsmissions here in Mexico. Sky doesn't offer what I need. It's a bad thing.

From what I've heard most of the films are repeated over and over again on sky so I'd be bored of that anyway. Still, I suppose I'll end up getting it at some point knowing me just to catch up on all of the films that I've missed over the years.

The only thing I watch on tv at the moment is Smallville, that's getting pretty good, but it wasn't on on sunday due to some program about 6 months of the life of an ex-member of Westlife! I was gutted!
