I would liberate all the chimpanzees from all the animal research facilities in the country and train an army of apes, with which I would storm the White House.

I would call it "Operation Family Reunion."

That's a top idea. I would definitely want to be part of that one. And thanks for bringing that up, as in my selfishness I was only thinking of stuff I would do for my own enjoyment. Liberating animal research labs would most certainly be something I'd do if I could get away with it.

Slight thread rot, but the thought occurred to me yesterday at work.

I'd like to be completely bullet proof, just so I could run at policemen with guns at the houses of parliment, just to see what they actually do.

When I got to them, I'd just pinch their cheeks and run off laughing.

I don't think it *would* affect my life much... I mean, most of the things I enjoy doing are already legal (reading, eating, writing), and the things I enjoy that are not legal I do anyway... maybe some theft, but even then only if a) the action were without consequence for me - that is, I could hop over the counter, go into the stores, pick up the shiny thing and wander out again without anyone feeling obliged to stop me or getting into trouble for failing to stop me. So, no intimidation, no clubbing of employees, that sort of thing...

Did I say I would [rape someone]? That's something I have no interest in. Not that sex with anyone I so desire isn't a nice fantasy, but that's not one of those that I consider as being without definite victims.

i believe that getting caught is what makes a crime.
Isn't crime defined as anything that's against the law? If I murder someone and nobody suspects me, then didn't I still commit a crime? by the same reasoning though, if we all exeed the speedlimit, then we must all be criminals... and all this time, I thought I was a decent fellow.

I didn't say "victimless"; I said any act whose "victim" either somehow deserved it or who remained a faceless abstraction. At least to my psychology, rape doesn't qualify for either of those categories. I am not necessarily a romantic about the sexual act, but neither is it utterly divorced from a mutual affection to me. Unless we're talking about "rape," as in a mutual fantasy thereof, the crime of rape is very personal, never conscionable and the damages are quite immediate and recognizable to pretty much anyone but someone who'd be willing to do so.

This thread strikes me as being better suited to the Headshop. Just a suggestion.
