I've not seen anyone mention it here but does anyone think that the LITG rumour from last week about GM + FQ Superman is kosher?
They definitely seem to be pushing for a Crisis II... could we finally get those two on Supes?

Guardian. The superhero. The Guardian. The newspaper. As. Part of. The same. Thing.

Okay, that's pretty inspired.

Yeah, it took me about a week to get that.

Games Workshop's Golden Heroes super-hero role-playing game had the same concept about 20 years ago in an article published in their magazine White Dwarf - IIRC it was a parody of The Sun that had a female super-hero working for them. It's probably been used elsewhere but that was what Grant's version reminded me of when I saw it.

And wait til you see the idea he's had to update the Newsboy Legion...

Apparently either as a company-wide relaunch of the entire universe or an Ultimates style line.
Alledgedly...

I have a feeling getting Grant [and Vince] on Supes was a condition for all these great minis we're seeing from GM and his exclusivity. but 2005 still sounds too early for this. 2006 may be more likely, coinciding with the Singer movie.

or at least they could be starting 6 months prior to the premiƩre, so there'd be a nice TPB when the movie hit.

Technically, Walter Simonson already did, in ORION. They're the Newsgroup Legion now (complete with new female member), and their redesigned car is called the Zipp Drive.

Of course, given that nearly everyone (reader & editorial) ignored that series, I'm fairly curious to see what Grant comes up with.

>> the Newsgroup Legion

I will now descend into net nerdspeak and say:

LOL.

I even read his ORION series and forgot about this, although I do remember the new female member in it. (shattering the boys only club)

Sure, it's goofy. But this incarnation of the Newsboys has ALWAYS been goofy. I mean, really...Flippa Dippa?

You. Don't. Need. To. Justify. "Goofiness". In. The. DCU.

Why does this stuff even need to be said (again and again).

Grodd-haters can fuck off.
