I never spell the word magic with a superfluous thelemic "k" on the end, cos I'm interested in emphasising the similarities between occultism and stage conjuring not keeping them seperate. --G.L.
I get what you're saying. Personally I got into the habit of using the k when I started using the internet, for searchability's sake. Nowadays, though, I look at it more as a little note to myself, a reminder that no matter how many sequins I sew to my costume, I've still got to come up with the goods. On one side of the Trickster there may be Anansi, or Coyote; on the other there's the snake oil merchant, the phony psychic bilking old widows out of their money, the fake faith healer who tells the diabetic to chuck out his insulin and take Jesus instead. I know which side I want to be on. |
