geez I don't know what to think now - I would really like to know more about what happened to you Will and then again I wouldn't since I've found out people I know have links to the band.....

Such is life....

Why not? DARK DOES NOT EQUATE WITH EVIL, PEEPS. -Ierne

Never said it did. 'darkness casts a shadow of pure light.' But if one of their goals (stated on the site) is the liberation of divine female sexuality, the approach they're taking will alienate more people than it liberates.

I'm not ultimately concerned with making connections, judgements and distinctions about this path or that path. Merely wondering what they hope to achieve- cos my spidey sense is jangling with hidden agenda signals. What is this for?

What is this for?

Well, that should be obvious....

...Rock and fuckin' roll, apparently.

It seemed to me (from reading their site) that they are more interested in finding people on their wavelength, which would require a smidgen of selectivity. The over-the-top presentation would indeed alienate a lot of people, but it will pick up like-minded folks who can appreciate that sort of presentation and see the humour in it.

I've given up reading this thread because the deletions mean it makes very little sense. I'm not having a go at anyone but does this have to happen? Looks like it was valuable and interesting stuff. Anyway, from what I can tell (having done a ritual with these characters) IMHO their 'magick' is as lacking as both their 'music' and their intellectual grasp of complex issues. [stroppy anarchochaoist]I mean, that line about 'swaying people to their path' ... I mean, who the hell do they think they are to try to persuade anyone of the validity of any belief or practice?! I find it hard to believe they've ever been near real magicians![/stroppy anarchochaoist] However, they are very committed to sexual freedom and for that I can only respect them.

Normally I agree with you on the 'deleting posts' thing Bill. In this case, Will indicated that he knew some of the parties involved personally. So, to hazard a guess, he probably felt that his posts were either inappropriate or a conflict of interest, after the fact.

It's always a fine line to walk, when you post stuff from your personal life.

Thanks people, and sorry Will, I didn't realise how serious the matter was at all.

Details? I'm surprised you asked. 'Kay, at an event called the Sex Maniac's Ball in London (see their site for details) they did a ritual where one (manually or orally, I don't recall) brought another to orgasm with the intention of - wait for it - of passing the energy round the circle. I'm not sure I could quite see the point of that. But hey, I should be fair; maybe they had their reasons for not wanting to do 'serious magick', whatever that might be, at an event like that. Also another Barbeloid pointed out IRL last night that they may have had their own agenda (which might or might not have been a good thing...)

Well, for the look of them, I say rock the fuck out. They may not be deep, but this is sex and rock. Ain't that enough?
I don't think they'd give much of a shit about which "hand" they are. I'm sure they fist with either.

Its hard to find gigs like that in western Pennsylvania, I'll tell you that.

Of course, having a Fierce Celtic Warrior Woman in blue paint fronting the band can only be a plus...
