Property Rights

For Debate, I have the following resolution: Resolved: A just government ought to value the redistribution of wealth over property rights.

Currently, I'm trying to find information (and real world examples) for debate that argues against the government redistributing property. Right now, I am going through Nozick's Anarchy, State, and Utopia, and am theeeees close to getting a solid argument down. I know Novick later disowned Anarchy, State, and Utopia, but it backs me up pretty well and is rather logical.

Also, does anyone know any good (non-socialist) models for government redistrubution of wealth?

I was under the impression that government redistribution of wealth was the definition of socialism.

It also applies to taxation. Redistribution could simply be moving wealth from the private sector to the public sector, or even from private to public back to private in order to promote the general welfare.

What about from public to private - which is how most taxation actually works, to my understanding.
