Gek, you big sexy beast you, would you mind terribly casting your ever-knowing shadow over my current state of employment, if you've got nothing better to do.

Right now, I'm kinda applying for eveything I can, but it would be really cool if you could wrangle me something with regular hours, good rates, and a really understanding boss, who wouldn't mind letting me take a wee bit of time off to go to Skye, and Brittany, and Beauly. And perhaps Ireland too. (That'll all be before christmas though, cos next year I should be heading over to Cape Breton for a few months (hopefully)).

Front page of the NY Times today -- article on aggressive pets, and what's the picture? A gecko lizard! I saw this and immediately thought that our boy Gek's influence is really getting out there in the world, no?

I am reading ol' issues of Amazing Spiderman and recently went through a story line with one of Spidey greatest foes: The Lizard. I was impressed as how charming the creature appears to my eyes nowadays in contrast to how I regarded it when I was a boy,those reptile lips, nose, and big long tail, threatening to take all over the world by populating it with... LIZARDS.

Now, in line with the above, I am thinking of conceiving sort of an ultimate GEK ritual. I mean, besides the cookies and chocolates, maybe he doesn't want to take all over the world, but maybe to become sort of, you know, known, in a playful, innocent and magickal manner. I have not found a sigil for Gek around, but I still have to think of what exactly I'll do.

Impulsivead, if you have any valuable feedback tell me. For the moment, I found some quite informational pictures of Gek's relatives at Day Gecko, for those interested.

Anyone else seen the commercial (it's at least showing here on the East Coast, in NYC) for some car company (Toyota, I think) -- they're having auditions for a new spokesperson (an old gag that they've milked in their commercials for months now, but I digress). Lots of people in the waiting room at the audition.

The chihuaua (spelling?) from the old Taco Bell adverts shows up and frowns when he sees none other than a little GECKO lizard happily bounding out of the audition room.

I think our boy Gek is starting to slowly manifest in pop culture more and more lately -- there was also a cover story in the NY Times a short while back about exotic pets, featuring a picture of a gekko.

And Gek, my good entity, just saying hello and thanks for continuing to work on those wishes!

Hey GEK of the ultimate GEKiness!

Please let me get around to doing, and actually finishing the stuff I have to do, in a way that will let me pass these modules. (Yes, I am talking about my essays, particularly about my linguistics one). Help with the stuff I _want_ to do (trying out some magic instead of just reading, practicing drawing and the guitar...) would be an added bonus, but I guess that I can do that on my own. Uni goes first!

So from now on I will spend enough time at my desk doing the things I have to do and finishing them, too! (thanks to you). I may also actually do some constructive other stuff there, as long as it doesn't interfere with this working time.

And lest I forget, milk and cookies I got for you and will give you, too, of course.
