Skittles Sours - surely e-numbers in their purest, least adulterated form. Particularly good after a Burger King Chicken Royal Meal, when one can feel the 100% chemical tang slicing its way through the emulsified fats. Mmmm...

Patatas bravas: chips 'n chilli sauce and mayonnaise. Not quite as good as chips 'n curry gravy, but close.

My all-time number-one fave, though, is the cheddar cheese, salt-and-vinegar crisp and HP sauce sarny. Has to be real HP and the cheddar should be of an aged and tangy variety, but the most important componant is the crisps. They must be supermarket own brand crisps, the sort that are so overloaded with artificial flavourings that they make your upper lip break into a sweat. Yummmm.

Haribo Sour Mix!!

Or any gelatine-based sugar-coated sweet, such as fizzy cherry cola bottles (worth paying the extortionate Odeon prices for inclusion in your pick-n-mix)

And, at my school, if you swallowed chewing gum it "strangled your heart"....

Tonight: rye bread, sachets of mayonnaise stolen from work, sachets of ketchup stolen from work.

This is mayonnaise from a sachet. It doesn't need to be refrigerated. It's too much of a man condiment for that.

Totally agreed, but only if you buy them somewhere other than Britain. Everwhere else in the world they have a delightful, violently sour white powder coating which makes your eyes water and the roof of your mouth sore, but in Britain they leave the coating off.

Why is this? Do they think we can't handle it? Do they think we're sour wusses?

How could this thread have progressed thus far without anyone mentioning KFC?
THE KING OF ALL JUNK FOOD!!
God knows what the hell is in the stuff but, wherever I find myself in the world, it's a constant and a privelege to consume.

Just what I was about to say.
For it's excessive yumminess, it has to be KFC, but see, you can buy two or three mcChicken sandwiches for the same price, thus up to trippling your tasty crapomiter.

Oooo.

I have just tried Mordant's sandwich suggestion. (Cheese, HP sauce, salt and vinegar crisps.)

It's deeply wrong, but yet totally magnificent.

Has anyone tried Dodo Chilli dipping sauce by Mauritius foods? It is beautiful, no burn, just a warmth of chilli.

I got mine at http://mauritiusfoods.co.uk/?post_type=product

I hope you enjoy it as much as me?
