On the "abuse of power" point. This is of course a big problem in occult circles (although its something of a taboo and people don't like to admit it goes on). It ranges from the normal power dynamics you'll encounter in small, closed groups to individuals being 'coerced' into sexual situations - justified 'cos it's the will of the gods or reincarnation or some other "spiritual" justification - and a transference-like effect when group members treat the leaders like surrogate mummies & daddies. |
